Surprisingly decent for a bootleg handheld!
There are a myriad of these Famicom ROM-filled handhelds out there, mostly of horrific quality rendering them almost usable. This one is different though- it's actually worth having! The unit itself is styled after the Gameboy Micro, but notably bigger- more like a PSP in size. It isn't the highest quality- the unit is lightweight & the plastic is definitely cheap feeling, but it doesn't have that "snap with a light breeze" brittle texture cheap plastic often has. The buttons are loud & clicky, but responsive (if not pleasant to use.) The screen is actually kind of nice- properly colored, no weird angles, it's even backlit well. The unit comes with a micro USB charged battery installed, but you can remove it & swap to AAs instead... handy if you find yourself unable to recharge. The speaker is low quality & a bit static filled, but not unbearably so. I love that they included a storage bag, but it's the tiniest bit too small- adequate, but try & replace it if you intend to take this around. The game assortment is interesting, to say the least- it's split between 'classic' & 'vibration'. There is no vibration, it's just two different game lists (not sure why.) The weird bootleg games one would expect are indeed present, but not the expected popular titles- there's no Mario here. Instead you have some of the better also-rans of the Famicom world that didn't make it to the US. Stuff like Devil World, Nuts & Milk. If you're not in a position to easily acquire famicom carts or roms, this is a decent way to experience these titles!Unfortunately, the TV hookup leaves something to be desired. The overall output is dark, & the connection seems poor Giving the cord a good shake distorts the picture. Considering you'll be using the unit as your controller anyway, just play on the built-in screen. If you're like me & oddly fascinated by these units, but not willing to waste money on the really trashy ones? This is a slam dunk. It's also a good choice for kids, if you'd like to try & show them 8 bit games but aren't too keen on overspending for something they may hate, or break.

Surprised
Real person here....was surprised not expecting much. Everything moves easily and buttons ect simple straight forward. Games are listed some with regular arcade system names others generic. Actually fun light and functional.

Defective
Just got this as a gift for my son and it doesn't work. It turns on, makes noise, the buttons react, but the screen just stays black. Really disappointing as he was so excited to get it.

Console is pretty good but games are not.
** 2 stars removed because the games on this are not recognizable at all and are not very good. There are several games that you'd think would be recognizable, such as "Star Wars" and "Donkey Kong", but neither of those were anything like what I expected them to be (the Star Wars one wasn't even actual "Star Wars" anything, it just meant literally "wars in the stars".)To preface this review, I'm a pretty avid gamer. I generally like to play my Steam Deck and my Switch and PS5, so when I saw this I was pretty excited to have a little retro gaming console.I'm definitely not into retro games (except for games like Galaga and PacMan) and couldn't tell you any other "retro games" besides those two and Galaxian. Because of that, I ended up not being able to recognize a single game on this platform. I'm not sure if people who are really into retro games would be able to recognize any of these, but for me these were pretty disappointing.Another weird thing, the volume spinner on the side of the case that you use to turn up/down the volume is reverse of how it normally is on other consoles of this type like the Gameboy Advance, on this one you have to scroll UP to turn the volume down, and scroll DOWN to the turn the volume up; not great design on that.I was honestly pretty excited with this at first as it includes a bunch of cables to be able to hook it up to a PC as well as a carrying case for the console, so that was nice. Also, I opened up the battery compartment thinking I'd need to put batteries in it, only to find out that it did have room for 3 AAA batteries, but running vertically (the AAA battery spots were there but running horizontally) there was a rechargeable battery already installed, which I really appreciated. There's so many little things weird about this console though. If you're in the game picking menu, you don't press B or A (or T?, weird button) to pick the game, you have to press start. As for the screen, the screen was pretty good and seemed bright enough when I was using it, however I never tried it outdoor and it wasn't insanely bright in the room I tried it in, so it potentially could have issues in brighter rooms.Overall, I think there's just a lot of really weird things with this device that makes me definitely not want to recommend it. Even completely ignoring that I recognize none of the "retro" games (none of them out of like 190 games) since maybe someone more into retro games could recognize them, some of the weird quirks like the volume switch rotating the opposite way than what you would expect and having to figure out which buttons to press to select a game vs interact with a game, etc, there's just a bunch of weird things with this that make it not for me.All in all, if you are really into retro games and you recognize a lot of the games on this list, then you will probably be pretty happy with this, especially being able to hook it up to a TV and play it on the big screen. However, if you just like gaming or don't immediately recognize any of these games, definitely don't order this as you won't really use it and there's many better alternatives out there instead of this.
