SmallRigCage Kit for Nikon Z8 3941

I own a number of SmallRig products and when I purchased my Z8 the cage kit was the first accessory I ordered. The quality of the product is just what I expected. First class all the way. This is an excellent addition when it comes to operating the Z8 in special conditions. I love the handle because it allows me to get closer to objects near the ground. The ability to attach other accessories where needed is also a big plus. If you are looking for a solid add-on to compliment your Z8, I recommend this product.

Il Cage della Smallrig per la Nikon Z8 arriva in una scatola ben costruita e confezionata con molta cura.All’interno nella schiuma preformata abbiamoIl CageLa manigliaSupporto blocca caviUna chiave a brugolaManuale d’usoLa costruzione è di prim'ordine.E realizzata in alluminio anodizzato con una lavorazione CNC.Ha una linea molto pulita e funzionale con un design moderno e funzionale come si nota nella dotazione di chiavi per il montaggio di accessori alloggiata nella parte bassa del cage e trattenuta dalle calamite incastonate, la chiave per le viti che incorpora una chiave a brugola da 2,5mm e la chiave a brugola che si trova sul handle sempre pronte all’uso.La maniglia e dotata di attacco Arri per il fissaggio sul cage, abbiamo tre attacchi cold shoe con chiusura di sicurezza azionabile a molla e svariati attacchi da ¼” e ⅜”.Il cage ha una forma che avvolge letteralmente la camera senza risultare ingombrante, dotata di molteplici attacchi per il fissaggio di svariati accessori.Il supporto per il bloccaggio dei cavi ha un design moderno e funzionale, i bloccacavi hanno una costruzione a cuneo, più serrare la vite zigrinata e più il cuneo blocca il cavo in modo da non fare danni in caso di un tiro accidentale.Nella parte bassa abbiamo la vite da ¼” per bloccare la cammera all’interno del cage.Una volta fissata la camera si notano subito i sei fori da ¼” e ⅜” intorno alla vite di bloccaggio, posizionate in tal modo per il fissaggio del plate per avere la possibilità di posizionarlo al meglio sul Gimbal per una corretto bilanciamento.Il vano batterie rimane libero per la rimozione ed inserimento della stessa grazie alla progettazione ben studiata.La SMALLRIG è un marchio conosciuto nel settore professionale per accessori di foto e video di qualità e questo cage non fa eccezione.E perfetto sulla camera, ha un minimo ingombro rendendola facile nell'uso quotidiano, offrendo protezione e soprattutto facilita l’installazione di accessori utili per le riprese come il microfono, monitor, luci led, SSD, Follow focus, maniglie e tanto ancora.Rapporto qualità prezzo e buono.Spero di esservi stato utile nella scelta del prodotto.

I like SmallRig stuff generally, so I did have some fairly high expectations with this but I'm happy to report that they were all matched. This is really well engineered and some serious care has gone into some of the small design details. Things like the magnetic tools that slip into the side of the cage and handle really set this off and make it so convenient as an all in one solution. The cage itself is strong and fits the camera perfectly with really minute tolerances, so that once it's actually on it barely effects the cameras original ergonomics or footprint. The cable clamp is super handy and the handle itself is rock solid.Obviously the cage is going to add some weight to your setup, but then you have all the added versatility of adding extra handles etc. so that sort of compensates and the extra weight isn't so over the top anyway, probably it depends more on what you add to your setup rather than the actual cage itself. I recommend this to anyone with a Z8 whose looking for more versatility in their setup. I just do pretty basic vlogs and stuff to be honest and this just makes doing that easier. I don't feel like I'm having to juggle gear all over the place, everything is nice and contained in a solid little setup that's pretty well portable. For someone who's a bit more professional than me, a wedding photographer or something like that, a cage is pretty much essential I'd have thought and this SmallRIg one is really high quality. It makes carting a setup around very easy and it's pretty pro feeling too, which is always nice.

I've used SmallRig products for the past couple years and have always been satisfied with the quality. This camera cage follows suit. It is durable, fits the camera like a glove, and feels great in your hand. A couple features I really like about this one is the cable clamp and top handle that come with the kit. The handle makes is very convenient for smooth shooting and getting low to the ground, and the cable clamp is very handy for keeping your cables strealined when you have multiple accessories on your rig.There is also a tool included to assist with installation, which magneticaly attaches to the cage so you always have it with you. There are 2 cold shoe brackets on the top, which is nice for both a light and mic, and there are numerous 1/4 & 3/8 holes to give you a variety of ways to set up your rig, or expand it.Very happy with this cage and highly recommend.
