Growing up and spending many nights at my grandmother's house, she had feather pillows. They were comfy and cozy then, but go flat after your head got nestled into the feather pillow and you would have to repeatedly fluff it up several times. So, I saw these pillows and thought I would try them again, years later in hopes they had improved over time. They have...some. material was better and it didn't go completely flat as before but still lost some of its fluff and support. These pillows also have a plastic crunchy sound, which was annoying throughout the night. The cover reminded me of a protective cover for a toddler's bed for bedwetting. Needless to say, at 3:00 AM, I retrieved my old pillow. My husband also asked for his old pillow back. He liked them but not as comfy and supportive. We gave them a try and just not for us.

These are a bit more packed with fill than I've typically experienced with down pillows, but they are comfortable and good quality. After I opened the box, I let them "inflate" for a day before using the pillows and this turned out to make a difference. My husband also liked these and he's the real "down pillow expert" between us! :)

These pillows are 80% feathers and 20% down. For me, the difference between feathers and down as far as pillows are concerned is a semantic one and a quick check on the internet confirmed this. Down happens to be more expensive but feathers serve the same purpose.Down pillows behave differently than foam or shredded foam pillows--they crush down from the weight your head and neck put on them and create a kind of mould of your contours. Some people like this and find it comfortable while others do not and prefer a pillow which is more resistive and supportive.If you like down pillows, you will probably like these. They are nicely stuffed with feathers and do not leak nor do they allow pin feathers to penetrate the covering. As these compress with your weight, they cradle your head and neck gently. They can easily be returned to fluffiness with a few plumping motions or a trip to the dryer.No odors or weird textures in the pillows at all.If you want to try sleeping on down and feathers, these would be a good place to start--they'll give you the real experience at a value price point.

Too firm for recipient.

These king sized pillows arrived in such a small package, it took me a few minutes to figure out what I even ordered. They seem to have been vacuum sealed. The bag they came in looks like it had been tossed on a dirty floor, but the pillows were sealed inside and were fine. Within a few minutes after opening, they expanded a bit and a bit of fluffing turned them from pancakes to pillows. I have other down pillows, but they're smaller and I really wanted to try a larger pillow. I was hoping they wouldn't be overstuffed, which is tough on my neck. They're fine, great actually. I'm looking forward to seeing how they feel after about a week.I haven't found feathers poking out and the fill feels nice, pretty even, but I can still squish the pillow to get a perfect height. For a little over 30 bucks each, these are a very solid value. If I run into any issues with them, I'll update the review.

I love feather pillows sooo much but can't deal with all the feathers. I gave these a good russell tussell when opening them and tossing them around to get them fluffed up. Please to say not a single feather popped out. You can tell the outside of the pillow is a thicker material to prevent feathers from coming out, but not to the point where the pillow can't breath. My favorite part with feather pillows is that they don't flatten over time. You can re-fluff and make your bed look fresh, clean, and almost untouched. Exactly I expected and super happy!

As expected, these pillows were highly compressed for shipping and then sealed in a mesh bag with a waterproof cover. Once removed from the bag and allowed to breathe, they puffed up quite well and completely filled our ample king-sized pillow cases. The result is a softness and comfort that only down and feathers can provide. Aside from being excellent pillows we found the mesh bag to be ideal for a travel laundry bag, which was a bonus we had not expected. Good pillows...good value.

I’ve had a king bed for a few years but never invested in the king pillows. I am so glad I finally did, and with these! They are so nice and soft and packaged so nicely in a vacuum seal. They fluff up almost immediately on their own. Delivery was so fast!
