The media could not be loaded.  The Blue/Purple laser is advertised as being able to be used for astronomy and that is NOT the case. This product line sells a few colors. The Green is the best one for astronomy and night purposes. I tried the Blue/Purple laser as well as the Green one. You do not see the laser when you use it only the dot; with the green one you can. The Blue/Purple color is only good for indoor use and backyard perhaps but nothing long distance. Trust me. I tried it in my backyard and even took it to Death Valley to go star gazing. This beam will get lost; and the color is not easy on the eyes in person. Very hard to look at. Go with the Green Laser Pointer for astronomy purposes. Definitely returning this item. Isn't that bright or strong. Couldn't really see it even when it was dark. Just stick to the green lazer

Bought this laser pointer to use at work (I work in a manufacturing plant). I have previously only used the green from the same company. The green light goes very far and is extremely good. I had high hopes for the blue/purple color. But the color just dissapates more, isn't very vibrant, and seems to die a lot quicker than the green.Will definiately only purchase the green from now on.

It does not show the laser beam in daylight as stated. I’ve seen what real lasers do and this is not even close. I’d not buy one if you intend to use it for pointing out stars. Find a better one.

I purchased the blue laser and man I was disappointed. The color wasn’t even blue unless the laser is pointed on certain objects that were in light colors. You can barely even see the laser itself when I had the laser beam go through smoke. Very disappointed. Will be sending t back.

I have one from years back and I keep trying to find one the same quality. This one is really big. The one I have and am looking to replace is the size of a pen. This is more like a small flashlight. Also, my old one keeps a pinpoint at quite a distance. This one becomes a fuzzy blob by the end of the hallway. Not as bright either.

Bought this for my boss who needs a laser pointer for our conference room cuz he’s always getting up to point at the tv. Works great on every other surface but.
