Sturdy and fits well
The media could not be loaded. Walker Fracture Boot - Short and Compact Ankle Support Boot Brace for Sprained Ankle, Post-Op Recovery ......A fairly comfortable boot for fractures or sprains, helps keep the foot and ankle from bending and takes some pressure off. It fits well and has a hard base with fully adjustable straps, 2 across the foot and 1 around the shin which secures tightly by Velcro. Easy fit, as it opens fully so you can slide your foot in from the front then secure it.I have a sprained ankle and it does help relieve the pain when trying to walk, there is padding but it is limited, I suppose the more padding the less tight and rigid it would be, so it serves as a good medium.

Durable and comfortable ankle support boot
PACKAGING: Clear plastic bag secured with a twist tie.PRODUCT: Short ankle support boot brace.FUNCTION: This is light-weight and looks like it will have some durability. The sole is made from rigid plastic with a wavy ribbed bottom for better traction. The straps are riveted to the sole. The tightening straps are Velcro (hook and loop) and stitched multiple times for longevity.I am a size 4.5 in footwear and so I ordered the SMALL.I undid the Velcro strap located near the shin area. This was a tough task as it was stuck together fast. Inside the boot I found three additional pads that Velcro together. I think this is optional (additional) padding for the ankle area. My foot slipped into the boot without having to loosen the two foot Velcro straps and it was a comfortable fit. There are two metal supports, either side of the ankle. These are fixed to the foot plate. They come with a clear plastic sleeve over them. Once this sleeve is removed, the metal supports adhere via Velcro to the boot and this stabilizes the ankle.A very comfortable boot. Easy to put on and adjustable. Well made with care and attention to detail. I have used something similar before which was supplied by the hospital when I fractured my ankle, and this compares favorably. They do take a bit of getting used to though. I was able to do a long commute to work in mine everyday with no problems. At the time of this review the boot brace was £31.95. I would recommend.

Sturdy but takes some time to get use to
Well designed in a supportive shape, it definitely holds weight and provides dependable support. Good quality materials for a low price, but I believe practicality and durability have taken precedence over comfort. The boot brace is rather bulky due to its raised rocker sole, which took some time to adjust to walking on. Overall, a decent boot.
