Functional
Not the best quality product out there, but the for the reduced price point you get a electronic fly killer for a great value price. It operates just like the most expensive versions and has not issue in killing the flys and moths that decide to visit without invitation. Very easy to clean with a small brush. I've had it running since purchase and no issues with its operation so far. You'll need to be patient with the insects and give them encouragement to go near it. They will be more attracted to the smell of your bin that this, so you need to make it easy for them to fly in and get zapped.

Not effective
Does not attract flies. During the recent hot weather we ended up with 7 large flies buzzing around the kitchen. Left this light on almost 24x7 for 5 days, those flies were still buzzing around. They would land on the casing and sot, basking in the beautiful blue glow before flying off to dive bomb me again. Eventually I killed the flies by other means and threw one into the metal grate of this device just to see if it was actually working. I could smell burning fly ass so I guess it was but the blue lights are not powerful enough to entice the flies through the gates of fly heaven. If I could get a refund I would but the short returns window has now closed- bummer

Doesn't kill flies or mosquitos
The media could not be loaded. We've all seen one of these in the butcher's or butty shop, supposedly doing its job. I had read reviews about these not catching all flies. I was prepared for it not to catch mosquitos, as I had already read that they are not attracted to UV. I'd had enough of fly strips. They look horrible and I'm always accidentally sticking myself to them. With the warm weather and these flies landing on me all the time, I'd had enough and thought this would be good if it only killed some of the flies. I thought it wasn't good that they say in the description that this kills mosquitos when it can't, because it doesn't attract them. But I thought it was honest if them to say its capability for killing flies is "medium".I've had it going a few days now. No flies killed! None whatsoever. Not a single fly killed by this. It does kill midges, which is at least something I suppose. Well, it would be, we're it not for this thing's major flaw. Although it doesn't attract flies to it in the day or night, and it is true that it kills midges in the night, the thing it does best of all is to attract every single moth that passes by outside, into the room.Moths are undoubtedly the creatures that is most attracted to this device. It kills loads of them. It was full of dead moths yesterday morning, and the morning before. It hasn't killed all of the moths it's attracted last night. I have quite a few moths around the place, waiting for dark again. Meanwhile, the flies are still flying around the room, totally disinterested in this fly zapper. They do keep landing on it, though not on the electrified grid. They're all landing on the power lead. Unless you have some strange desire to kill lots of beautiful moths en masse, but enjoy the company of lots of flies, maybe look for a different product.I knew the power lead was going to be short. I hadn't quite realised it would be this short though. I have it hung at the recommended height and this means having an extension lead hanging in mid air.I also seem to have picked just about the only one of these that doesn't have a removable tray, for ease of cleaning. Although, tbh, they almost all stick to the grid anyway. Hardly any fall to the bottom. At least the guard does come off easily.

Poor value for money
Didn't catch a thing and was unable to run without the wire after charging. The charging cable was less than 3ft long making it difficult to place where it was needed. Sent it back in the end.

Was surprised to find this is not mains powered, but usb. Almost returned without giving it a chance, but gave it a go anyway. It hasn't stopped zapping si ce I switched it on. Collection tray is full of flying insect bodies and room is now completely fly / moquito free ! About to order 2 more for other rooms. Cannot recommend high enough 🪰

Don't buy!!
Absolutely awful.Hasn't caught a fly and I have it 3 wks. I've seen the flies land on the top of it. The florescent light is not strong enough to attract them. I have even turned off the lights in kitchen at night time to see if we can catch them but no joy. Definitely not worth the money
