Had no clue this existed but am so glad I stumbled upon it
This door protector is perfect for someone like me who has a dog who can't help herself and MUST jump on the door when she hears anything, even a pin drop outside. I recently repainted by door and the protector has worked wonders. The paint has not yet chipped or been scratched off and it's been over a month and my dog is large and strong!

Would not stay on
This film worked while it was on the door backing, but my puppies easily scratched it down within a couple of days. This may work on a metal or other smooth material, but it didn’t stick well to my wooden door or trim.

Great protection
This is a great invention. My GSD at times gets rough and scratches at the door to go out. This plastic/acrylic is perfect. No more paint scratches. Easy to wipe clean.

STURDY
Works just fine and very very sticky. You have to be careful when applying the sheet so it doesn't crease and avoid the side wood work which may have ridges in the trim which mine does. So the ridges were a problem and can't expect this product to get into the deep groves. The door is protected and you get a lot of product.

Do not use
This crap immediately took the finish off of my door and now it will have to be repaired and refinished!

Looks horrible.
Looks horrible on any surface you stick it on. I didn’t like it.

Will Remove paint on window sills
My dog likes to jump up and see who is coming to the house. We just got replacement windows and refinished all the sills, so we wanted to protect them while we train our dog to stay down.I will repeat what others have said in reviews because it is true. This material is very sticky and difficult to work with because it has no backing. All the sticky surface is exposed when you unroll it so it will try to stick to anything it touches. For vertical flat surfaces this may be OK. Fo a window sill it is very difficult. You can't really reposition it. On painted wood surfaces one of 2 things will happen. Either you will be unable to lift the plastic, or if you do you will rip the paint off the wood. Else you can lift it away and now it is no longer sticky enough to stay in place and begins to peel.It is very shiny and slippery so it works to help keep the dog off the window. Not sure if it will last, or stay on without damaging the wood. So keep that in mind if you plan to use this for window sills. So I can't really recommend this for window sills. It may work acceptable for other surfaces but read the reviews.
