Tested it with a timer on my phone a few times, and it is pretty accurate. Well made and pretty. I use it as a visual timer for clients during tarot readings.

So I timed this and it clocked out at 4 minutes 34 seconds. Even though it was short some sand I can't knock a star off. I love the design of it. Wasn't planning on using as a timer anyways.

The media could not be loaded. So I mainly got this hourglass because of the beauty of it. It just looked beautiful and I have always wanted one since watching "Days Of Our Lives" as a teenager.This hourglass is well made and excellent material. It doesn't feel cheap anywhere on it. The purple sand flows thru softly and with ease. I find myself staring at it lost in my thoughts. Had to recalculate the time twice because I hadn't noticed my phone timer going off and lost track of the 15min. When I finally got it it ran for 15min and 19 seconds give or take my human error. So I do love this piece and it fies well with my bedroom decor/themes. I dont recommend laying it on its side, because it rolls smoothly and will fall off of a counter or anything else and possibly break.

This hour glass is well made and the purple sand really brings it up a notch. I def recommend.
