Fits just right on the spout of my watering can.

Holding the 2 gallon watering can as normal, arm straight down my side, clutching the handle and tipping it slightly to water, the spray pattern as it hits the ground is almost 2 feet wide. I water many small planting locations in my big yard that are about a foot to 16 inches wide. So the pattern is too wide for me. I experimented by eliminating the 2 outside rows of holes with silicone glue. It still is too wide. I will try to eliminate one more outside row of holes to reduce the spray pattern. That will reduce the amount of water that sprays, or in other words, slow the process of watering because of less holes. However, the size of the holes is such that the individual streams of water emitted from these holes is very gentle on the sprouting plants, and so will be used for watering planted seed beds and young sprouts. The reason why the spray is so wide is because the metal screen is convex. It the screen was flat, or only slightly convex, the pattern would not be so wide. The wide pattern of this head would be suitable for large beds. Since the rubber that holds the screen is very pliable, I can change out the existing screen and install a replacement screen that I could quickly make in my shop. This rubber clings to the watering can spout very well.

Bought this to replace broken head on my trusty old plastic novelty 2 gallon water can. Fits very snug so no leaks. Spray pattern works well although I enlarged maybe 8 holes with a small nail. Used to water my sprouting marigold seeds and it didn't blast them out of the pots. A great item to make my old can useable again and not headed to the landfill. Would recommend to all those needing a quick fix.

Barely flexible neck, does not fit either of my classic watering cans,(Haws, European Class). Put it out to the curb for someone else to try!

I was concerned this sprayer head might be tough to mount on my old Novelty Plastic Water Can. It is tough but you can remove the metal spray head outlet from the rubber cone to help finger work this item onto the plastic can spout and easily reset the metal disk. Obviously, I do not want the spray head to pop off or leak. Neither the case and the fit is very tight. This can has been sitting around so long as I thought I might locate the proper spray head, but never found it and did not want to toss the can out. Thankfully, my can is still solid itself. Nice spray pattern!! The word "Novelty" does not appear anywhere on the can but the flower embossed image seems to I.D. this can now that I looked it up !
