So Much Better than Brita!
This thing is awesome. I am replacing the Brita bottle and this one has a number of advantages. First, you don’t need to remove the top to fill….everytime I took the lid off the Brita the water would run out of the tube and make a mess. With this one, you just flip the top and fill. Second this thing is heavy duty steel (brita was plastic). Third, I never felt like that the Brita was really filtering the water….this thing produces pure, great tasting water! The straw attachment tucks away and is hard rubber (brita is softer). It does take a bit of pull to get water through the straw but no different than the Brita….and you get used to it quickly. Yeah, the filter is bigger than Brita so it holds a bit less water - bigger filter, better water and this still has a bit smaller footprint.

Small
The water tastes great but it doesn't hold much. If you want COLD water you have to fill it up and set it in the refrigerator to chill. Other than that it's quite nice.

Amazing Water, Tough Time With Seal
Really love this bottle's water quality! It doesn't matter where I refill the bottle, the water always tastes fresh. When I first ordered the bottle I had a really tough time getting a steady stream of water, it felt like there was a leak in the straw and I was getting half air and half water which made it difficult to use. I contacted customer service and they responded right away! They had me test a couple different solutions to see what the issue might be. Through those tests I found that if I press down on the bottle's lid very firmly (right by where the straw is) the water flows perfectly, so they determined the seal on the bottle was broken and promptly sent a replacement bottle. I really appreciated the service and response, however when I got that second bottle it had the same issue. When I contacted them again to follow up and see if there were bottles that had proper seals I never got a response. So for now still enjoying the bottle, just have to press firmly on the lid every time I open the straw or refill it, sometimes when I'm drinking it as well! Hoping this issue is remedied in future models and then would happily give 5 stars!

Disappointment in nice packaging
A nicely designed water bottle that fails to do the thing it is actually meant for - allowing you to drink water.I went through 2 of these before requesting a refund. The Cons:1. The outer straw does not create a tight seal to the inner straw, so you end up sucking in more air than water. Starts slowly then after a few days is mostly unusable.2. Because water sits in the filter and inner straw, the taste is often very plastic, ick, until you cycle through to fresh water from the bottle.3. Bottle is fairly small considering the size of the filter. If you're a water drinker you'll be refilling it constantly.4. A handle of some type would be nice. The Pros:Beyond the radical straw failure and being a bit small, the bottle is actually nicely designed, I really wanted to like it so i could ditch my brita travel bottle. The body is solid and fit into most cup holders i tried. the bottle kept water cold for a lengthy time(over night) and the fast refill cap is a really smart feature imo.My quest continues for a well made filtered travel bottle.

astrea ONE is the one - The best daily filtering water bottle - replaces bottled waters
I bought the Brita. Pretty good. I bought the Grayl - the best filtering - esp for hiking/outdoors.I bought this one - that appears to have better filtering than the Brita bottle from what I can tell. The design is fantastic. The only thing missing that might be helpful is a hole for a hook to attach it to something like your backpack. They should offer a ring that could fit under the lid that has a hole to hook things to.But, it's the perfect design to replace a water bottle. You don't need to unscrew the lid to add more water - perfect. The filter even filters heavy metals. The design is not conspicuous looking. It's metal. the bottom is a grippy rubber. The size fits most cup holders. The straw closes and has a handle so you don't need to touch the straw when you open and close it.This design was thought through. This is the one I will carry around from now on. Refill in any water fountain or sink and feel comfortable that your water will be clean and taste good.

Great Concept HOWEVER…
Great concept HOWEVER it’s functionality is very poor making it not worth it.The filter was great… taste and elements removed but that’s where the positive stops. The functionality of this bottle is its downfall.First off, it leaks around the sipper area. This makes it virtually useless to me.Next, it is nearly impossible to use ice with this bottle. The filter portion takes up a lot of room and you cannot get it in if there’s ice. You could put it in and then add ice, however, the filter tip then won’t seat properly in the cap.IF you are somehow able to spoon tiny bits of ice into it with the filter in place and cap slightly lifted, it won’t keep your drink cold for long. This probably could have been remedied by the manufacturer had they not made it to have a built in grate covering the “easy fill” opening (under the circular pop top). You probably could have slipped some small ice through there with the cap screwed closed & in place but nope! They have that grate like thing covering the opening under the circular “easy fill” flip cap.Like I said, great concept but very, VERY poor workmanship makes this bottle a lose.I returned it.

Great company to work with!!! Bottle filters great.
The filter bottle I received had a faulty seal and air was coming through with the steam of water. But I contacted the company and they took note of the problem and immediately said they would send me a new one, it is on its way. So a great company to work with and I’m looking forward to getting the replacement. So my star rating probably would have been 5 stars if the seal worked properly.Update: I received my new replacement bottle directly from the Estrea company. And it works perfect. I’m so glad I bought this filter bottle. I’m changing to a 5 star rating!
