worked perfectly on my handycam DCR-HC28. It powered right up and let me use all the functions of the camera, sadly my battery turns out it may be dead for good (can get a new one though for like 10 bucks on here) but can still use it plugged in. The connector fit perfectly and the cord length is pretty decent for charging and using plugged in/on a tripod.

Won't fit a DCR-TRV900
It probably works on the other cameras mentioned, but it won't fit in a DCR-TRV900. When researching compatible adapters, some others mentioned that they will work on both the DCR-S and DCR-T series with the same connector. I now believe that those other products have bad descriptions, and that this one has the accurate description. If you have a DCR-T series camera, it is unlikely that this adapter will fit it. I'm submitting a close up picture of this adapter's end, because the listing doesn't have a good enough picture to judge by. These connectors look almost identical to the DCR-T series, except that these are thicker, more box shaped, and there is no raised center key/rail on one side.
