The Playwright's Workout: Exercises for the Dramatic Imagination From Professional Playwrights (Career Development Series) Paperback – 1 April 2009

I use this in my own writing and in teaching playwriting. It's a really terrific idea, and a magnificent book. In it, the editors have interviewed contemporary playwrights and have asked them for the most useful exercises they've encountered. It's a terrific way to get the pump going or to keep it going. The playwrights represented are some of the best voices in the U.S. theatre. I highly recommend this book! It's so much fun---it's like one of those workouts where you feel so much better than when you began that you look forward to the next workout!

Purchased for my daughter-(an aspiring Playwright!) She says she enjoys reading it and finds the information inside very helpful.
