I have tested sitting on it and my brother was riding the bike. I am 53kg and it held me with no problems.I got this so I can add another soft seat on this and have my daughter sitting on it, so I am confident this will hold my 5 year old and the soft cushion seat.

Material is a bit flimsy, but once installed, provided you take care to ensure everything is tight and positioned to support, it should do the job fine.I'm using it with a seat and handle so I can carry both bags and a passenger at the same time.You obviously don't want to be jumping about on it, but it seems sturdy enough and nowI've spray painted it to match the rest of the bike I'm quite pleased with it.I installed it on my fat wheel e-bike and then added some black leather on the seat which I installed on top of it, and then spray painted matte/satin black.The only issue I have is the clasp/gripper used to connect the main support to the saddle bar, is designed for conventional bikes, and as such doesn't fit properly as the bar on mine,(presumably being a 'fat' bike) is a little too thick. I still managed to install it but I'd probably be better off uninstalling and then welding it on where it connects at the base of the saddle, as I doubt it is currently providing the intended amount of support.

Good marks get 3 pairs of struts far better than one pair as iv said iv gone threw alot but it's same hollow monkey metal crap it will never hold 180kg so I trust you won't even try, iv got it just mount my battery for my ebike in fairness and I'm hoping where the struts are applied to the rack they don't snap off again, been looking for solid steel rack everywhere , can't believe I can't find a tidy rack

I only got 4 small rubber gaskets and 2 big ones, the instructions show 12 small gaskets. Now I have to improvise. I dropped 1 star because of this.

My partner and I sat on it and it didn't even bulge.
