Piece of mind, great product!
I feel so much safer same at ease having this monitor, in addition to the separate video monitor we already had. All the reviews about false alarms had me worried, but I’ve used it for a couple weeks now and I don’t think it’s ever had a false alarm.A few things to note- when my baby is at the edge of the crib (he’s a mover when asleep) it’ll alarm since the monitor is so far away. I’ve had to move the baby more centered in the crib when this happens. I fixed this by getting a cubby cove- then placed the monitor under the cubby cove, then a thin piece of wood, on top of the crib mattress. The monitor still works, which is fabulous!Yes- the beep when turning on is really annoying, especially when baby just fell asleep. I’ve remedied this by placing under a bunch of blankets to soften the beep, then taking out right away and placing on table near crib. It’s much better. There have been times that the one warning beep came on, and it was enough to wake up baby to breathe again. I don’t think it was a false alarm- I think baby probably paused his breathing so I’m grateful the monitor beeped to remind him!I’m really happy I got this monitor, and wish I bought it right after baby came home!

Would definitely recommend this for peace of mind
We love this system! It gives such a peace of mind that your baby is sleeping okay and breathing. I would recommend it to any parent and wish we had gotten it several months ago. The only downside to this is that when you pick your baby up from the crib 20 seconds later the alarm goes off and it is a very loud alarm but, in the same respect it's good that the alarm goes off cuz you know that it works. Definitely would recommend it but wish there was an easier way to turn off the alarm when you pick up your baby.

Don’t buy!! Like run. You will not sleep.
This product is useless. It causes more stress and wake ups as the alarm goes off ALL NIGHT LONG. We’ve given it two months incase the baby didn’t weigh enough but nope this should work for a 15+ lb baby.We also have an old 2013 AC401 for the other twin that works like a gem.I’m so disappointed because we have to buy a new product and blew $100. I’m not sure how Amazon still has this listed since so many users complain about constant faulty alarms.

Provides peace of mind
This product provides peace of mind. We have only had a few “false alarms” because our daughter has began gravitating to the sides of the bed which seems to not be picked up by the sensor. You will need to purchase a solid surface to place under your mattress if your mattress has a spring bottom.

Update July 2020
The mat serves its purpose fine, once it’s adjusted to the right sensitivity. However, it has a major design flaw in that the “Bluetooth connected” beep is the same exact sound as the “Warning” alarm. Multiple times my husband and I have rushed into our daughters room frightened that the alarm is about to go off, only to realize it was the Bluetooth re-connecting.We used an older model that is not wireless, it has a cord attached to the mat. The cords were cumbersome, but this was certainly never an issue.UPDATE - don’t purchase this. They tried to save money from their original design and functionality and got rid of the 1-5 “dial” sensitivity in place of a 3 option notch sensitivity. The mid-option gives off false alarms (somehow it doesn’t recognize my 25 lb baby?) and the highest option recognized the floor vent blowing onto the mattress, when my baby isn’t even there.

The Angelcare and my 10 week old.
I have a 10 week old baby and I purchased the Angelcare after witnessing intermittent breathing as a first time mom. It was scary. The Angelcare has given me peace of mind. There are a few things that I don’t love. It makes a very loud beep to indicate that it’s working. If you have ever worked fervently to get a screaming newborn to sleep, only to transfer them successfully to the bed and then have them started awake by a beep.....well. It’s no fun. Secondly, I have gotten false alarms from the Angelcare. It has started alarming several times when my baby was breathing fine. The last concern is that you have to work to get your mattress to lay straight with it underneath. My baby rolls onto her side because of the angle it causes. I have to keep getting up and moving her to her back.Overall, it does calm my fears and let me rest.

It’s nice and simple
I love the monitor. It gives new moms piece of mind without breaking the bank. It’s simple to use and I can sleep at night. I never get false alarms

Love the product minus the monitor
We love this product for the use of the sensor obviously but the monitors are HORRIBLE. We started just using ours and turning the sensor on without the monitor and just used the other baby monitor we already had.

Let’s me get sleep again
This product has given me such a piece of mind and it works great! My only issue is the loud beep it makes when you turn it on... my baby sleep through all kinds of noise and the first time I turned it on even she woke up however that only happened her first tome hearing it. If your baby is a light sleeper it may make your life difficult but other than that it’s been amazing for me!

Happy with it
My set up for the last 3 months with my 3 month Old is a pack and play next to my bed where she sleeps. As others have said, the fact that turning it on it does a loud beep is annoying but I just muffle it with a blanket or pillow. I have to put my other hand or foot in the pack and play next to our bed when I take my daughter out to feet and move it around so it doesn’t go off because the pause features also intermittently beeps loud so I just manually move it and it stays quiet. Set up was super easy and it gives me peace of mind since my daughter is a good sleeper (so far anyway) and now I don’t wake in the night wondering if she’s alright. When she moves into her nursery Ill set it up there and if I ever have to take her out I’d just turn it off and turn it back on again and muffle it with something. I already have a video camera so this saved me from buying the full set up!

Do your research, does not work well in bassinet
The Angelcare does not work well in a bassinet. Since it is quite thick, you cannot just put it under the thin foam mattress of a bassinet and lay your baby on top of the uneven surface. You can get a baseboard to put on top of it under the thin foam mattress of the bassinet, however it was too much research/work required for me at the time of recovery and I never ended up using it. I wanted to return it, however since I got the Angelcare during my babyshower, a couple months prior to trying it out in the bassinet and after my delivery recovery, the return window had closed.
