Megan HessParis: Through a Fashion Eye: Special Edition

I love thé illustrations. Most of the suggestions are popular tourist traps, but the beautiful illustrations are the important part - nice coffee table artwork in a small book.

This is a gorgeous, fabulous book, and the drawings by Ms. Hess are Stylistic Eye-Candy...such a fun and delightfully escapist way to spend an afternoon, on a loveseat or in a window seat, with plenty of beautiful sunshine to illuminate the fairy tale like pictures and to transport you to a place (or places) that you may never actually ever visit yourself, up close and personal, even if you plan on going to Paris or have been. These places pictured and elaborated on are for the most part for the rich, famous, and celebrated, and although the 'average joanna' would probably not be physically prevented from stepping foot in these places, would still likely hesitate to enter just from the sheer exclusivity of the establishments. That's not to say that those with supreme confidence or bravery would necessarily let themselves be made to feel out-of-place, but just let's say that it's a pleasure best enjoyed right where I found it...inside the pages of this fantastical little guilty pleasure!

Lovely for anybody going to Paris or if somebody wants to have a French keepsake! I probably will not be returning to Paris, So it really did not serve a purpose for me. I do want to see the book is gorgeous!

This book is a delightful treasure. From the rose gold page edges to the old fashioned binding, and, of course, the contents, it's just so very evocative of Parisian sensibility. The illustrations are, naturellement, first-rate. It's something of an elitist tourism guide, that is, an illustrated guide to places that I, for one, could never dream of visiting, such as high fashion boutiques and five-star hotels and restaurants. But I don't care! It's a lovely fantasy, and I'll treasure it anyway. I feel inspired to spend time in Paris, even if it's on the cheap. Style is supposed to be about attitude, and this book has it. Nicely done.

Beautiful sketching, everything Paris...makes one feel so feminine owning this book...many wonderful suggestions.....the gold on the edge of the pages is so beautiful and classy...a very Classy Book "PARIS".

I love this book. So perfect, glamorous, classy and very colorful. An excellent touch for my coffee table. The size and content are as described. Contains a lot of good information about Paris where to stay, to shop, dining and all the glamorous life in an entertaining way. I added this one on my book stack and its just perfect. Attached some pictures for better reference. Highly recommend this product.

Perfect for a fashion minded teen or young adult headed to Paris for the first time. It's an adorable, beautifully illustrated hand book spotlighting many of the trendiest places in the City of Lights.

Very nice sketches from beautiful Paris

Mein zweites Buch von Megan Hess und auch dieses ist wirklich sehr schön gemacht. Preislich unschlagbar und für mich da ich es zu Deko Zwecke nutze optimal. Die Bücher gibt es auch in Deutsch die liegen preislich etwas höher habe das aber zu spät gesehen hätte die sonst so bestellt. Nichts desto trotz sind die Bücher ob in Englisch oder Deutsch was schönes für Fashion Liebhaber.

Love this! Perfect for any fashion lover! We might not be able to travel at the moment but great to plan for a trip to Paris for when things are back to normal! And the illustrations are amazing!
