Not a downer theory book. Not a guilt trip that you're inadequate. Just an easily digested approach to treating other people, be they your children, pupils, friends, partner etc. including those with learning difficulties. Thanks Steve.

Amazing book by a straight forward author. Lots of wisdom and practical advice from a man who loves children and parents. Never judgemental, always sympathetic he gives parent the tools - whether ways to see things or things to do - to help our children become happy - and that means is parents need to be happy too! win win!

Bought for my daughter who thought she was useless as a mum- until she read the book and discovered she was an exceptionally good mum and the kids were normal. Worth reading for those who have any doubts that they may have misplaced the text book that came with their children!!!

Really enjoyed this book. Read it all the way through initially and will certainly be referring to it as my children grow.

I'm reading this book and it's very well written. The author uses fun illustrations and examples from his practice experience to explain his points. The tone of the book is one of optimism and hope set by this common-sense author. I would recommend it.

A great book and a real eye opener for every parent. To be a parent is the hardest thing in the world so do your self a favour and get some real advice from this book. Simple and easy to read and it works when implementing it in practice!

I bought this book to try and assist,me with improving my teenage sons confidence. This book would have been great 10+ years ago but it mainly covers smaller children. I still read it from cover to cover and would definately recommend it to any new parents.
