I absolutely love this backpack! I got it for work and it's perfect. It's durable, plenty of pockets and storage. It's lightweight and the zippers are strong. I love the soft, matte fabric and the color is exactly what I was hoping for. The straps are comfy and they don't come apart like others do. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend!

Very nice backpack. It’s a Nylon waterproof material. Lots of pockets. My daughter carries ALL of her books in this bc she doesn’t use her locker. We are going on 6 weeks of school, and so far the straps still look good. No broken stitches, or pulled seams. She loves the color. It is a muted boho green, not too bright. There is padding for her laptop. Definitely worth the price.Edit- we bought this in August and it made it to April (almost all school year) before one of the straps broke. Mind you- she slings it over one shoulder and carries it with just one strap. Of course, that’s the strap that broke.

The size is great, many pockets. The material feels thick. Overall this was a great purchase.

The child loved this and a happy child means a happy school year also. Yippie

This bookbag is a great size for my middle school aged daughter. The bookbag itself will hold a lot of her necessary items. Different compartments to grab her things quickly.

My review is specifically for parents shopping for early elementary aged kids (K-2)If you're familiar with the Simple Modern Fletcher Backpack you may find this review helpful. See pictures for visual comparisons.We needed something larger than the Simple Modern Fletcher 12L (medium). We love that backpack but it won't work for kindergarten since you can't fit a standard sized folder in the 12L without folding the edges. So annoying!If Simple Modern made their 18L backpack in more designs (currently only the only "boy" print is Ninja Turtle) then it would have been a no brainer and I would have just upgraded our 12L Fletcher to the larger size for my incoming Kindergartener.Unfortunately, my son isn't a ninja turtle fan, so I thought I'd give this brand a go because the checkered design was cute!IMO this bag is way too large for a early elementary aged student who only needs a folder and a lunchbox. It would be great for a MS or HS student who has multiple textbooks and a computer. The size is excessive for a small kid. My son is a tall 5 year old and it was nearly as big as him.Other thoughts:The blue color is really more of a grey. I like the checked print.The material has kind of a sheen to it, which looks kind of cheap.Quality 3/5 starsAppearance 3/5 starsSize (if you need space) 5/5 starsI personally don't love how "floppy" it feels. I like the sturdiness of material that Simple Modern and Pottery Barn Kids use better.
