Great Blinds!
We have 5x of these blinds. 2 are on skylights, and 3 are on standard windows. They are great value for the price. We did have one small metal holding piece at the top fall out which I would like to see on the instructions, but overall these are very good blinds. These type of blinds like all blinds of this type (fixed frame) benefit from using caulking around the frame as window openings are never square. We use 3 on standard windows because they work great at covering light bleed around a standard blackout blind.

Correct measurement of the skylight
It was actually easy to assemble but I was mystified what the metal part was that was included in the screw envelope. They should include what the part is in the instructions. Otherwise a nice blind for the skylight.

Okay for the money
Instructions were lacking and provided link was inaccessible. Finally figured it out. Product would be better if provided with a hook to access with a separate pole.

Great full blackout shades. I made an improvement to the install
The media could not be loaded. The product is well made and, assuming you measured correctly, it dropped in with about 1/8” to spare in each direction. The mechanism works smoothly and I am rating it 5-stars even though I did make an improvement to the installation; I am very happy with the way the shades installed and their quality.Installation per the included instructions was an easy 20 minute affair, taking only a #2 Phillips screwdriver and involved only 8 screws. I used a power screwdriver to mount it to the wall and it fit tightly enough that it could hold itself up while I secured the screws, making for an easy one-person installation. You could install it with a manual screwdriver as well.Tips:If you have kids that play in the room, I think it would be a good idea to put the shades fully open while they're playing to protect them from things hitting them.My improvement on the installation: I bought some 1/2 Inch Wide X 1/4 Inch Thick, Foam Weather Stripping (also on Amazon) and I applied that around the outside of the frame before putting it in the opening. No building material is perfectly straight or square and you need a small amount of tolerance in sizing to make sure you can get the shade installed. This foam weather stripping squishes to take up that gap and is VERY effective at making this a really blacked out shade. You can see in the video a few spots of light leakage in the corners (where I intentionally left the weather stripping slightly short to make sure it would fit in the opening). Before the weather stripping, there was a sliver of light all along all the sides (and top/bottom). I suppose you could also caulk around it afterwards to cover that up and seal the light from around the edges. This is in no way a defect in the product; it's just how building material tolerances work. The shades operated very smoothly before I put the foam in place. After adding it, the foam pushed against the sides slightly, making the shades a little tighter to operate than I'd like, so I drilled one additional hole on each side and ran a drywall screw in to put the shades back to square and, as you can see in the attached video, the shades operate really smoothly again. It was easy to see where the shade was too tight and the fix was very quick. Those shades in the video are the "gray" color, which I'd describe as a medium gray (or very slightly lighter than medium gray).I initially purchased the wrong shades (from this same seller). These are the full blackout (room-darkening). They also sell half-blackout (privacy and cutting down on the light, but not cutting it out), which I bought by mistake initially. Just make sure you get the right one for your needs. I liked the design and construction of the half-blackout shades from this seller so much that it was a no-brainer to order the correct shades from them again.I'm very happy with the product and the easy installation; the light sleeper who occupies this room is also happy.
