Real Flame 5010E Thayer Electric Fireplace Gray with Brown Undertones

The media could not be loaded. First let me start by saying that this fireplace exceeded my expectations! Unlike the bad reviews stated that the item was damaged upon arrival and their were gaps around the frame of the firebox, Mine was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and everything lined perfectly with no gaps. It took my boyfriend 1/2 hour if that to assemble. This bad boy(Fireplace) has a variety of colors to adjust the color of the flame and it even has a backlight....Why would anyone want the hassle of a real fireplace when you can purchase a fake one that is more eye catching and as elegant as this one. THIS FIREPLACE would be a ASSET TO any home or Apartment. I bought mine for my livingroom for my apartment and I'm glad that I did. I took a chance despite the negative reviews and I made the right decision folks....I am ecstatic and pleased with my purchase well worth every dollar if you dont have a real fireplace. FYI-The color is Dark Brown, NOT Gray. This should be your first choice for a large fieplace😁😍👍

Very nice product and easy to put together although I am experienced putting things like this together. Only one issue and it was that one hole for the screw had a metal stem sticking straight up in the middle and I could not get the screw to advance. So I tried pulling it out, twisting it out but the hole was so small I could. (This review is sounding kind of funny now) So I decided to just push it in with another object and it worked out fine. Overall very nice. I only think it's worth the price I paid because it is exactly what I wanted but it could have been cheaper. Also, the fireplace makes a humming sound when just the light to simulate fire is on. Not sure why it needs to do this, but if you have a TV on or other sounds most of the time while using it then you will not notice it.

Completely disappointed! Gray and white where the two colors offered. I ordered gray, somehow I ended up with brown. Assembly was pretty simple... that's the only good thing I can say. Aside of it being the wrong color, it has gaps that are clearly visible. The left side of the mantle didn't line up. There are no tools needed to assemble the fireplace, it uses all wing nut bolts. By the way, the screw holes are predrilled, so a dummy could put it together, there is no way for someone with reasonable intelligence to mess up the assembly. With all that said, the top of the mantle was scratched... with the exact same shaped scratch on the base. If this thing was only a couple hundred dollars I would be able to see how this could happen but this thing is over $600! See the photos to see for yourself. One last thing, I assembled the whole damn thing before i realized it was the wrong color...putting it back in the box would take a miracle, sending it back is not an option unless they come pick it up... don't buy this!!!

I dislike that they tell you it is a gray electric fireplace. And the box says gray but it is dark wood looking.

I thought this would be really cheap looking and I was pleasantly surprised. This is very nice looking, even though it is particle board. Don't get it wet. I think the covering would probably peel off. But I am happy with my purchase. Heats well, although I did not buy it for that function. I don't use it for heat.

If you’re expecting a grey fireplace, look elsewhere. It’s dark brown. Otherwise it’s a nice and sturdy fireplace. When I sent a photo to customer service regarding the very real color discrepancy, they apologized that I wasn’t “satisfied” with the color. I would have been more than satisfied if it arrived the color as advertised. I hope they update the specs moving forward.

We love the new fireplace. It looks great and was easy to put together.Some reviews note that there are "gaps". The fireplace is designed with plenty of room to slide the parts together for a perfect fit.I thought that it needed a base to elevate it off the floor. I made a simple base, painted it a semi gloss black and it looks like it came that way.
