Moisturizing & Gentle
I tried both of the other 2 Fragfre shampoos & find them very drying. This one works well. It left my scalp moisturized & my hair shiny. It included ingredients such as glycerin, aloe and other oils that are gentle to my scalp. As impressive is what it leaves out; sulfates, parabens, BHT, etc. Fragfre rates highly on Safe Skin Products site. This version has not been reviewed yet but it is wonderful for my red & itchy scalp.

Has an Unpleasant Fragrance
I didn’t really get far enough into using this shampoo to tell anyone how well it works. I think everyone unscrews the lid of a hair or skin care item when they first get it to give it a sniff. This shampoo is described as unscented so I wasn’t really expecting any scent at all. Unfortunately it smells like rancid oil. I know there are several oils in this product, but I don’t think it should smell like this. I did attempt to wash my hair with it, but couldn’t really get it lathered up before I had to wash it out of my hair quickly because of the smell. I use a lot of natural products and know that unscented items will still sometimes have an herbal or earthy scent. That was not the case with this shampoo. Hopefully I just got a bad bottle.

Didn't work for my fine hair
This shampoo has no fragrance added so you only smell the natural soap scent which is different than a normal soap. However the shampoo has too much glycerin for my fine textured hair making it feel pasty and heavy. I just couldn't get pass the feel of it - more like when I use a shampoo bar, just doesn't work for me. It's probably really good for thicker and coarser hair but not for fine textured hair.

Has a scent. Maybe a good clarifying shampoo? Overall, not impressed
I use sulfate-free shampoos regularly, and I know that they don't lather the same as other shampoos. So going in, I knew not to expect a lot of lather and wasn’t bothered by that. But I did expect it to be fragrance free and moisturizing, and that is where it failed me the most.Nearly everything about this shampoo reminds me of the all-purpose “unscented” Castile soap/shampoo I was given in the hospital 35 years ago. It wasn’t the brand name (and scented) kind you can get at trendy vegan stores these days, but was watery and ineffective. It was so unpleasant that although I thought I had forgotten the experience of trying to wash my hair with it, just smelling this shampoo brought back waves of memories. This shampoo is just as unpleasantly runny, lathers just as poorly, and has a similar scent. Yes, despite being labeled unscented, it has a scent, just not a strong one and not a pleasant one. To me, it smells faintly like old but not quite rancid cooking oil. I assume it’s the wheat germ oil that I’m smelling, but regardless, it smells like something. The only good things I can say about it is that it is probably very good for people with sensitive scalps because it doesn’t have harsh ingredients. It also did leave my hair squeaky clean (but not very moisturized), but only because I rinsed *really* well. My hair was a bit weighed down and greasy after the first wash and rinse, but after repeating, it was fine.If you get this shampoo, remember that it (like all sulfate-free shampoos) work best if you wash twice and then rinse at least twice, because it’s lacking the suds to carry away the dirt.

Truly Unscented Shampoo
My habit is always to wait at least a few months before reviewing anything. That way, readers of my comments know I am not just excited about a package coming in the mail but have also tested its effectiveness. I've used just about every mild, fragrance-free shampoo out there and so far, this is one of the best I've come across. It suds up easily, does not strip your hair and/or skin of moisture, and truly has no scent. My hair is the limp, thinning type you see women in their 40s (including me) often having. It is gentle enough on my sometimes sensitive scalp and it does wonders for the hair.Hope you found this review helpful!
