Went to pump the gas and couldn't get the door to open, thankfully I had roughly a gallon left because I was freaking out at the pump before deciding to go home.I watched a Youtube video explaining how this issue is common and it recommended buying this from Amazon. The installation was simple and I didn't use any special tools (used the edge of a credit card to pry open the door and to pry off the broken part) you could use a flathead screwdriver too I'm sure.so far, so good.

The media could not be loaded. My gas tank door spring broke off. I didn’t notice until I went to the gas station and the door wouldn’t open. I had to wedge something in the door while I pulled the lever to get it open.This fit perfectly in my 2019 RAV4 and took less than a minute to install with no tools.Now I can open my gas tank door without having to wedge something in the door

Spring somehow snapped off on my RAV 4 (2024) and couldn’t get the gas cap door open (had to use credit card to pry open)… Quick search on YT led me here and this is what was missing. Installed under 20sec. Gas cap door opens now without any issue.

This is the second time ordering the same item from Amazon. The first one wasn’t spring loaded steel so it bent and wouldn’t work properly. This time it works perfectly. Very easy to install.
