This review is based on first impressions.The cons come first.The product is dull. Perhaps this was the goal, considering what is inside, because the case must not overwhelm the watch. However, looking at this sleeve with a watch inside is not inspiring. A few decorations or brighter colors are welcome.Nowhere is "GENUINE LEATHER" written.The leather is very thin. Its free edge right outside of the stitch is not glued, as it is done in watch straps. This causes some doubts about the durability of the sleeve. I would prefer twice thicker leather.The stitches at the two corners in the middle of height, where the flipped bottom meets the back to form the pouch, are not reinforced. I am worried that after multiple openings of the sleeve the stitches there will begin to break.The company or the manufacturer does not have a web site. There is an Amazon store of them, but it doesn't contain any more information. They have an Etsy page, which only adds that there are six watch enthusiasts in the company.The filler material is the one that gives strength to this sleeve; not the leather. In my opinion, it is a little weak.The pouch has a repulsing smell, which causes doubts about the whole manufacturing process, and glues and materials used. The sleeve doesn't smell like a good leather product. I hope this is not a big problem and the smell will go away over time. But for the first days I am not putting a watch inside the pouch until the smell subsides. (Isn't it written in manuals that the watches must not be subjected to aggressive organic substances, mainly because the gaskets may be damaged?). Actually, I know that many well-smelling, non-smelling or water-based glues are weak, so I don't consider the smell a drawback, but the problem is that I don't know where the smell comes from. My best guess is that the smell comes from the glue that was used to glue the microfiber cloth.There is nothing said about how to clean the inside of the pouch. Water? Weak soap solution? Alcohol (ethanol, isopropyl?)? Alcohol-water mixture? Leather cleaner? A specialized liquid? I am afraid to unglue the microfiber cloth while cleaning.There are some pros.The two metallic, spring-loaded fasteners are well designed, well made, well installed and work well.Depending on where the pouch goes for carrying, it is possible to use it with fastening none or only one fastener.The country of origin is USA .The internal size of the pouch is 10.5 inches. This is enough for almost all watches+straps, but for the biggest ones the buckle must be bent towards the center.
