Seem solid. Good materials used. Shipped fast. Was packaged well. BUT... rod locks don't appear to fit standard rod and reel. Tried on 3 different rod/reel combos, and no luck. They hold the rods/reels, just can't lock them in place. So no way to secure the rod for transport (such as when your boat is moving across the water) without some sort of modification. Attached mine to handrail of boat, and they fit securely.(Vine Customer Review of Free Product)

My kayak had some surface mount wells, but the shaft of this rod holder was a little too large to fit and I didn't want to drill additional holes. A little sanding, and I was able to make this fit perfectly. The 4 holes don't quite align with each other, but some zip ties will take care of that problem.As for the product, it seems to be pretty well made and very easy to change positions/angles. A slight lift and turn to swing from the back to the side to the front with many stop points between.There are two that came with the set, but I only needed one. It will be nice having a spare if any of the parts end up breaking or getting lost. This is a great product that I would recommend to anyone looking for one.

I installed these on my bass boat. I’m not often needing a rod holder on my bass boat so it’s really nice to have some that are so easily removed yet don’t lack the strength of a permanently fix rod holder. I would definitely recommend these.

I often like to place a slow pitch jig on a pole or two when I am bottom fishing and have to try to secure those poles somehow while I use another with regular bait to fish. For this, I like the pole to sit more horizontal so putting it in my rod holders doesn't work so well. These allow me to adjust the angle and make sure that my poles are very secure and don't go overboard. I can now fish multiple lines at the same time and not be worried about losing anything. They are just like some others that I have bought for my kayaks but included tow separate mounting methods for less money than the others I have.

These are outstanding! They have clearly studied the much more expensive Scotty brand rod holders and crafted a product that is every bit as good.Pros:1. Ease of installation: four screws and these are securely fastened to either the rail or into a flush surface on your boat or dock.2. Positive locks to keep your rod and your rod secure and in place. I am very curious to see how they respond to a king mackerel strike. Fingers crossed.3. Cost: These are half the price of the branded ones and almost as good.Cons:1. The mounting screws are not stainless steel and are quite soft so the screw heads are likely to strip out. I will also need to swap out the screws as they will rust out quickly in the Caribbean.2. Lack of rubber gasket to provide a tighter fit and avoid marring the rail. Easy enough to cut up an inner tube, but it would have been nice to include.Ultimately, these are a fantastic value at this price point and I highly recommend them.

I ordered the rod holders for my fishing pontoon boat. So far, they show to be high quality and hold my fishing poles well. I am able to fit all my fishing pole combinations as the holder works with spinning reels, fly reels and baitcaster reels. The pole holder is mounted for 360 degree horizontally turning. Lastly, it has a rotating clip at the front of the holder used to secure the fishing rod.

The item is sturdy and fits a large spinning combo well. Not so much with an ultra light. They do not fit Scotty mount without some fabrication with electrical tape.

Rod holders are very durable, and the clamps made it easy to attach to my pontoon rails. Also the adjustability is perfect.
