The bag openings were very long so you can keep freshness even once opened, though I emptied a box into my Tea storage jar.As for the leaves themselves, I was very shocked to see that there was literally no dust in the 2 bags I opened. That means very little debris floating in your teapot or mate/gourd and none sucked up if you use a bombilla.Altogether, the taste is the same as with Teapigs, quite smoky but not too bitter (yerba mate is with stems so not as strong as without). Its much more like the Tea Pigs bags, if you've tried those, but a much better buy.The 5x200g boxes take up a bit of cupboard space, but each pack has an inner, air-tight cellophane bag to keep the mate in good condition.The only downside is the acuté accént. But that is a seemingly British thing! Overall a good tasting, well-packaged good quality mate. The difference was unreal! I absolutely love this cotswold brand. What's strange is that my love for it grew and grew so that by the time I had almost finished it - wish I had bought two as most shops don't sell this brand! I did feel happier, more at ease, no twitching under the eyes (like I would get from coffee), made me eat a bit healthier, more hours sleep and gave one or two more lucid dreams per month. Apparently mate helps with detox especially help with cancer! The weird (and nice) thing was that after a few hour of not drinking my mate, then just drinking water - the water started to taste like mate. It is amazing how increasingly delicious this stuff gets (and it's already pleasant and interesting from the start).
