So far, so good
I have had it a week. It arrived before it was supposed to and is working great. It does what it's supposed to and I'm very happy with it. I do wish it would beep when it comes on or has a code but it doesn't so you have to check to see if it's working or if a code light is on. Time will tell if it works longer than one season like the Intex system. I hope it does because I'm tired of having to buy one every summer.

Does not work! 0 STARS
I’m on my second unit and am having the same problems as everyone else. In addition, I get my water tested weekly and my test results show no signs of chlorine production! This product does not do what it is supposed to do! Now the High Salt alarm goes off everyday. Again, I test my water weekly and the salt level in my pool is not high!

Didn’t work for me
I love having a saltwater pool. The maintenance is very low and you don't have all of the harsh chemicals from adding shock to your pool. In the last 5 years, I have purchsed 3 Intex salt chlorine generators for my pool. 2 of them went out after their respective first years. The 3rd one didn't work on arrival. It kept saying low salt no matter what. So, I decided not to purchase Intex again and purchased this Westaho. It arrived today and I was excited to give it a shot; especially for Father's Day weekend. I took it right to the pump and installed it. I followed all of the directions and set the timer. Right after I set the timer, I get a low flow light with a CL code. The book says if you get this code to make sure that the timer is set to one hour past the recommended time for the timer. So, I set the timer to 7 hours and still get the light and code. So, I decided to backwash the pump (even though I had done a thorough vacuum that morning) and rinse it. I cleaned the filter basket in the water pump as well. I turned it all back on and still get the same light and code. I don't know what to do now. There's zero troubleshooting steps for this code except the one I said earlier. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.Edit 6/20/23 - The company has reached out to me and offered a full refund. Customer service is on top of it at least.

Leaks
Leaked water from the heat pressure seal inside from day one. By the time I was able to get it off and return, they said I missed the return window. So now I'm out almost 500.00, smh

Does not work /but good customer support
Defective item I presume.- no manuals (although it is self explanatory)- plugged it in -- it did not work (i.e. electricity not flowing to start the device)Update: (mid July 2023)- increased to 3 stars from 1 because:- Customer service did reach out the following day and asked for another chance. (obviously I had to return the first one )- The second unit did power on, came with manuals and seems like it will work.- My pools is almost at 0 chlorine level, so I expect it tomorrow to be at a much higher level.- The product itself seems well built.I'll report back in a few days.Update 08/23- The unit started failing- complains about low salt- contacting support to return itUpdate 8/25- I contacted the vendor about warranty, great service.- They asked a couple of diagnostic questions about the beeping- Will send a new unitI guess if they are trying hard to keep a customer, then I can try one last time.

Never ran a full uninterrupted cycle
The media could not be loaded. Constant alarms and beeping. I know my salt balance to make a chlorinator work, and this unit was ridiculous. I am going to fork out the money to get one through Amazon that works.

Saltwater chlorinator works well
The pump stopped for the pool while we were away and algea formed. The unit is working hard to clean it up.

Lasted one season and now it’s stuck on an error code
Anyone have any luck clearing a CL code, low flow? It’s also now stuck on clean mode and won’t clean. Plates are clean and flow is fine. Anyone have any luck contacting the company? I don’t want to spend $400 every year for a salt system.
