Would be great if....
Want to love this item. Would be great if it was more durable. Everything seems great except for the velco pads at the bottom of the yellow rubber pylons. After five hits, I hit the forward pylon and instead of the velcro seperating from eachother, the velcro seperated fromt the pylon itself and will not stick to the pylon after that. Could I super glue it? Sure. Should you have to with a brand new product? No.

Golf mat with faux divot and plane rods
Have a different one almost the same but this is definitely the more forgiving one of the two. This one also isn’t as heavy duty but it does come with 3 extra mats hopefully in good condition. A couple of them look almost ripped in parts but maybe that’s how they’re made. These mats mimic a divot to give you better feedback than you wipe it clean. If you take it apart to change the mat be careful because even the Velcro came off the bottom but just laid it back in and it stuck ok especially when putting in a different mat. There are no tees or a way of putting in tees so you’ll have to use something like a winter tee to use if you want to do that. It also comes with 4 rubber rods to work on your plane. Even using this without a ball you still get feedback definitely something good for at home or if you bring to the range when hitting off mats to get better feedback for your irons.

Really good with some flaws
This mat is useful overall in giving you feedback about your swing. It tells you where the club strikes the ground, which has helped me immensely. A clean divot after the ball is what you should aim for. A messy divot tells you something is up with your swing. When you get a clean divot, it just feels so good....almost like hitting a ball pure. The little rubber posts are somewhat useful. It definitely gives you good feedback if you come over the top.....but I think the divot also tells you this. It's a little messy trying to travel with this thing because of the posts, but it does come with a carrying bag. Some flaws of this mat are that it catches the club on takeaway. There is a clear plexiglass that is on top of the green material. My clubhead catches it every time I take it away and really disrupts my swing. I tried taking it off and then my clubhead caught the outer black rubber border a couple of times. I think they should try to raise the green section above the black border. Also, be aware that it puts the clubhead an inch or so above the ground, so you'll need to choke down on the club when using this to mimic real life situation.Overall, I definitely recommend getting something that shows your divots. This is a great unit but it does have a couple of flaws.

Decent at showing your swing impact zone.
The first time I tried this mat out, I sent 2 of the rubber peg things flying. That explained the several shanks I had on my last round.I found this mat to very useful in showing just how your club is moving through the bottom of the swing plane and how much variation I had among swings. Its a good reminder on how important posture and tempo are in your swing. The mat has a solid rubber bottom so it doesn't jump around. I really like how the surface shows very plainly how the club moved over it. And then you just smooth it out with a few backward strokes. Plus you get extra replaceable pads so it will be a while before all those are worn out. After I left the mat outside for a few days the velcro that holds the rubber pegs on just came away from the mat. I could glue those back on but my swing improvement has rendered the pegs unnecessary. Maybe that's a feature (haha).

Getting used to my swing
I’m getting used to my swing, which is why I wanted this. It’s well made, and very useful. I’ve been using it daily and have noticed my swing path improving. Overall I think it’s a good value.

Not exactly as expected, but it's helping me ...
I used to play golf all the time. Then I stopped going outside. Now I'm playing again and it's embarrassing how poorly I am doing. I've picked up a couple training aids lately and while I feel they're all pretty limited in how much they can help, they do help you see things that you're doing which are causing problems. I've had a hard time swinging straight through this, but - yeah, I know exactly where I'm going wrong and it gives me an area to work on. So far so good.

Good way to evaluate your swing and practice at home
I am a beginner golfer and haven't been out since Covid. This trainer is a great way for me to evaluate all parts of my swing and determine where I need improvement. From the pic you can see I have a long way to go, but this will help me get back to basic play and enjoying being on the course with friends.

Great for beginners
Perfect for practicing your swing. It's great for beginners so they can develop good muscle memory and good for experienced golfers who need some minor improvements.
