I searched and searched and read review after review trying to make the right decision for a new mattress. I was sleeping on a 13 year old Temperpedic Cloud queen that was perfect for me until it wasn't. The last 2 years have been progressively worse for waking up from hip and back pain 2-3 times a night. I loved my mattress but it was time to make a change. I need a firm mattress but not hard. There weren't many reviews for this one but the ones there were seemed to agree this mattress, queen 12" med firm, might be the one I was looking for. I kept thinking I probably should buy local where I could actually feel the firmness, but I talked myself into hitting the order button after removing this from my cart 3 times and always putting it back. The mattress arrived via FedEx Ex 2 days earlier than expected. By 5 PM I got the box up the stairs and wrestled it onto my temperpedic so it could expand. I cut the box and unwrapped the shrinkwrap which contained the mattress in a bag. As soon as the bag sucked air, the magic started. I worked fast to unbag and roll it out. By the time I got the wrappings picked up the mattress had already grown to 8". Maybe I wasn't going to have to sleep in the recliner after all!By 10PM it was fully 12", even the corners! I put on my sheets and decided I wasn't going to wait 24-48 hours cause how could it get any bigger?It's hard to explain just how it felt, not hard firm as others and not sloppy soft.It was just...comfortable! There is enough 'soft' to cradle me but not sink in. I had NO difficulty moving from my back to my side nor was there the familiar pressure on my shoulder that I had become accustomed to when on my side. I laid there wondering if I had found what I was hoping for and simply fell asleep. It was 90+ degrees the day it arrived and even with AC on, that night was a sultry 80 degrees in my room. I did not get hot, which was something I was experiencing with the Temperpedic, waking up soggy and trying to find a spot that wasn't damp. Whatever this Swiss mattress has as a 'cooling' layer works!!When I woke in the morning the first thing I realized was that I had actually slept through the night and was basically in the same position that I had fallen asleep in. I moved my legs and was waiting for the all too common spasm to let me know I was really awake but....nothing!! I slid off the mattress and gingerly stood up. No twinge. I took a step and then another, still nothing!I found I was walking completely upright, not hunched over till I worked the kinks out of my back. To say I was amazed is an understatement. I just wanted to get back into bed, but i had to go to work. I wondered if it was a fluke or my imagination or mind over matter telling myself it HAD to be my old mattress making my nights and mornings a nightmare. I was eager to try my 2nd night and see if the results were the same. YUP-!!! I have had this wonderful mattress for 2 weeks and each night and morning has been the same. I'm not saying this mattress will heal all aches and pains but for me it has made a fantastic difference.I'm so glad I decided to buy this. If it continues to give me this comfort, cooling and support for the next 5 years, I will be a very happy camper!The zip on cover is well made and the mattress has filled it as expected, no wrinkles or twisting.I would definitely recommend this 12" mattress if you are looking for a firm support that still provides enough softness to gently hug your shape while keeping you comfortably cool through the night.I am totally satisfied so far!!

I’ve had the best sleep in a very long time sleeping on this mattress! I took a chance getting this one, not only because of the price, but because of the positive reviews and I’m so glad I did! I think it’s an awesome and very comfortable mattress!Some people on here are saying it’s too soft and others are saying it’s too firm. Mine is listed as Medium Plush. I weigh 138 lbs so, for me it’s firm enough that I don’t get swallowed by the mattress when getting into bed and soft enough to sink in a little bit, and it molds to my body.I have a very bad back. I have three metal rods & a metal plate screwed into my lower spine due to a horrible accident. So, believe me when I say, that I don’t sleep well at all. That is until now. Since getting this mattress, I can sleep several hours now without waking up in agonizing hip and back pain. It’s truly that amazing for me!To be transparent with my review though, the mattress only rose to 11 inches, instead of the advertised 12 inches. I had to remove the cover to cut the mattress so it would fit into the space I was putting it. The bottom support foam is the part that only expanded to 6 inches instead of 7 inches. The second and top layer expanded correctly.I’m not going to make an issue out of this because like I’ve already said, it’s incredibly comfortable and I’m sleeping very well on it so, it’s quite OK. I haven’t read where this has been an issue for people so, I wouldn’t let this deter you from getting one. That’s how highly I like this mattress. Besides, there are multiple reasons why it didn’t expand the entire way and it could have been my fault.Buying a mattress online is difficult and subjective, but for the price alone it’s worth getting this one. I researched for months and was driving myself nuts trying to decide on which one to get LOL. Don’t be like me and just get it. It’s truly an amazing mattress and definitely worth the price!

My wife and I had a plush pillowtop mattress that was getting worn out. We like soft beds, so I wasn't sure if we would like this one. Mattresses are so subjective that it is hard to know anything about it from the reviews. However, because it had so many positive reviews and a return policy we decided to take a chance on it. We are happy and will be keeping it - and I honestly have no idea how you would go about returning it anyway. This thing is heavy and huge once it has been opened and expanded.Because this is our first memory foam mattress, it took a couple of weeks to get used to. I didn't sleep well the first night. It doesn't bounce or sink quite as readily and a traditional spring-type mattress. If you like to jump into bed, you will be surprised at how "solid" it initially feels. However, if I just lay down on it, it conforms very nicely to my body. There are no "pressure" points. Also, the "cooling" gel really does work - which is nice on warm nights and not so nice on cold nights.When I lay on my back or stomach, this mattress is absolutely heavenly. When I lay on my side (which is how I typically sleep) it is also nice, but I wish it had a little more give where my shoulder goes. However, I remember thinking the same thing about our plush pillowtop mattress. Overall, I am now sleeping better and wake up with fewer aches and pains than ever before. I love this mattress.On a side note, the mattress cover that comes with this mattress is very slippery. Our fitted sheet didn't stay on at all. I had to purchase "sheet suspenders" which solved the problem!
