Super safe, and couldn't be happier!

It's my own fault, but while cleaning the countertop, I snagged the Mandolin and it fell to the floor and broke off a the piece that locks the plunger so it's in the closed position. My husband fiddled with it and it's back, but no necessarily sturdy. Mostly made of plastic other than the blades themselves.Only got to use it two times. Have not seen any plastic bits "bitten" off by the blade, as others have complained of. I hope it doesn't, but will be keeping my eyes open.Don't let it fall and it should be a good purchase!

But this mandolin for cutting vegetables with and not cutting your fingers off. Husband has been helping in the kitchen learning to cook. So I got this for him. He absolutely loves how easy it is to get veggies chop and quite quickly. Very happy I purchased this might be getting a few more for a gift.s

Decent kitchen item. I worry that there's just too many pastic pieces for it to be an item that lasts for more than a year with daily use.It does make meal prep quicker, but uses up that saved time when I'm doing the dishes afterwards.

I ordered this mandoline slice after nearly taking off a knuckle with a popular brand’s version. I like the shoot that vegetables may be placed in and there is no likelihood that I will injure myself. That being said, it is a bit arduous to clean for my liking. I am hesitant to put anything like this in the dishwasher and was very careful while cleaning it. Overall I think this works well. I was able to get some super thin potato slices and made some great chips. I look forward to using this mandoline further and make my life easier.
