Installation is not exactly plug and play. It is doesn’t need soldering or taping in but still would take good effort in order to install. Yellow highlights where 2 connectors located. You will need to take off plastic cover under climate control, 2 bolts that holding bottom part of dash of driver side, steering wheel column cover, also door jam cover. Whole process seem more complicated than it actually is but its better if you have some similar experience prior. Also make sure all doors are closed including hood and trunk otherwise remote wont start

Easy as 123 to install for the most part as long as you're not nervous about prying a few panels off (like maybe 3 or 4) to access some of the harnesses. Works perfectly! Can't beat the price either. Only thing that could be better is it would be nice if the car didn't shut off when the door is opened especially if the key is present (personal preference) but I realize it's a security feature so it's no biggie. Otherwise ... Awesome!!!

Was a perfect plug and play but did not work on my car but had to return. Customer service is very helpful with me. but we couldn't figure why it didn't work on my car. A+++++

This items is not very consistent. It works one out of every 4 to 5 times. The whole point of this is for convenience, but it’s not very convenient if I have to stand out there and try multiple times to get it to start by then I could’ve just went out and turned it on by hand and left

I have installed RS systems for more than 2 decades in various vehicles, its simply amazing that over the last decade or so that Plug n Play units actually exist and WORK. Back in the day it was soldering and terminating every wire then building that all into a harness, so when they say these are simple and take no time to install, its true! This particular one (my ES350) was done in an hour parked along the curb with 2 tools! Panel removal and cleaning up took the longest... I can see where this install would be intimidating for a novice just using the provided instructions. Just stick with it and YOU TUBE the specific install BEFORE you even start!So... WHY only 3 stars? SIMPLE, I should not have to start the vehicle twice, as this causes unnecessary stress on the vehicle. The LEXUS security protocol (and a few others) shut the engine off as soon as you open a door, this really defeats much of the purpose. I would love to figure out a work around for this, applicable to this RS system. I will also add that I have used several of the Start-X RS systems without any issues! Until the next one!

Installed on my wife lexus. Took about a hour would have been better if the video was more complete. For a100 bucks cant beat it..

I have one of these on my car, but I also install these for a living at a dealership. I’ve only had one problem out of several dozen of these, and they very promptly sent me a new one. Customer service got back to me within a few minutes and we determined we need to switch out a box and it may not have even been defective. I think it was just a mixup with the model number of the vehicle. These always always work perfect for me.

The remote start works but it doesn’t work properly, it doesn’t shut off with the remote
