After much thought I decided to buy this. When it came I realised that it was much more sturdier than I was expecting. Then when I tried it with a chip basket full of cherries I couldn't get over how good it was. I was able to get through the large amount of cherries in a record time and the cherries remained whole. It is an excellent purchase. Many Thanks to the producers of this great item.

The media could not be loaded.  I was a little dubious for the quality when I ordered this as it was much cheaper than others but appeared to look the same. However I wasn't disappointed. It was sturdy and very easy to use. I had approx 4kg of cherries to hull and being straight from the tree (before the birds ate them all 🙄) some weren't overly ripe. This little destoner made light work of what could have been a very long and messy job.A pleasure to use 😃

I love kitchen gadgets, in fact I'd go as far as to say that I'm easily convinced I need whatever gadget I see advertised.As you can imagine, there are a lot of items that only ever get used once and are put away, never to see the light of day again, and then again there are items that get used on a regular basis and makes me wonder how I ever managed without them.So, which category did this cherry pitter fall into?This item arrived in a clear packaging, it doesn't need any instructions as it's a basic design, you place the cherry in the groove with top of the cherry (where the stalk would be) facing up so the that when you squeeze the handles together the stone will be pushed down and come out at the bottom.My grandchildren love fruit and they love to help me to prepare a fruit salad, so not only did I get this cherry pitter for the obvious reason, but also because its safe for my grandchildren to use.I have small and quite weak hands, and even though it started off being easy to use this with 1 hand, I ended up having to use 2 hands to squeeze it together, but that isn't a fault of the product, its down to my lack of strength.Most of the stones came out cleanly, the faster and firmer you press the cleaner they come out.My grandchildren loved using it, even though because of their small hands, they are 4 and 5 years old) they struggled to squeeze it closed, but it's safe for them to use with no risk at all of them hurting themselves.It's made of a smooth plastic which makes it easy to clean.I'm always a bit dubious of getting a product that's much cheaper than other versions on the market, through past experiences I tend to think that you get what you pay for, but this item has proved that sometimes you get a bargain.Priced at £4.99 not only does it do what I expected of it but it also gives me and my granddaughter's the chance to spend some quality time together so in my opinion, it is worth every penny.

I ordered this product ahead of me attempting to make a Cherry pie from scratch. It was a GOD SEND. I had no idea cherries could be de-stoned so easily! All you do is remove the stem, place the cherry inside, press down, and then voila! The stone pops out the other side!Small disclaimer with this: make sure you do this away from anything that will stain easily and in a deep bowl to catch the inevitable juice that goes flying!
