Don’t let the bad reviews sway you
I am completely clueless how these organizers got such horrible reviews. I actually almost canceled my order BUT, I’m glad I didn’t. I have no regrets what so ever purchasing these organizers. It’s completely changed the space in a big and beautiful way. Super easy to assemble, all three went up in one hour, so pretty quick. This is partical board. If you are looking for solid oak I suggest going to a high end furniture store. If you don’t know much about partical board, it’s not the most solid thing on the planet BUT when assembled correctly it’s pretty darn sturdy for the material. Every bit of hard wear was in the packaging, what helps when you sit down and construct something is when you do an inventory of ALL your material BEFORE you start putting your project together (peep the photo I attached). Overall a great piece of furniture..slightly pricey but as previously stated I have zero regrets.

Fantastic piece
IKEA is the only place I found for my vinyl record storage needs and the units are expensive. Even if you go to a third party to buy a “vinyl storage unit” they all just rob you. This piece is perfect. It looks great, doesn’t look cheap at all. And is a great size for a bunch of different storage needs.

Expensive + overall bad experience + dowels missing from the hardware bag!
Ok you guys, first off, if you want to assemble your own furniture, go to IKEA. That's my main takeaway. They have years of experience in how to design that experience as easy as possible for the client. This is a rule I will never ever abide by again. The cube storage itself, once it is up, it is not bad. It looks like any other cube organizer. But mother-of-god it will shave off a few years of your life to get it there. You need to be very careful with assembly. It's hard to describe right now every instance when I thought it would collapse or break, but as a long-time IKEA client, this was much harder and felt less rewarding.I bought two of them and two-floor organizers. One, I actually manage to break and I ended up not installing a shelf because three dowels were missing from the hardware bag. I thought it would hold so I lifted it - but boy was I wrong. The whole thing collapsed and broke a shelve, leaving some pegs and screws hanging and rupturing other connections. I was just grateful it did not collapse on my dog who was checking up on what I was doing. One of the floor organizers is missing the whole hardware bag.The whole experience was just pure bad. And it's just not worth it. IKEA has the same exact cubes at half the price. I didn't return these because they're heavy and I could barely lift them to bring them into my apartment, I didn't want to carry them back to the post office. But, never again.Again. If you have an IKEA store and THIS is what you want, save yourself some trouble and buy it there at half the price.

If you finish building it, and use your brain, its a sturdy product.
The media could not be loaded. The video reviews for this product are a good example of why there are so many warning labels these days. All of the videos of this product being "flimsy" are because people DID NOT FINISH putting it together or did not read the instructions. It is made out of particle board which is never durable long term, but for the price it is a very sturdy piece of furniture. If you plan to buy flatpack furniture you should also make a purchase of gorilla wood glue that will last for many future builds to substantially increase the durability of this type of product.

Glue together cardboard, would be more reliable.
Yes, this is nothing more than pressed particle board, and the thick Shipping paper was probably more sturdy than the finished product, even after following the instructions to the letter.I can't in any good faith recommend this to anyone for any reason. it's easy to assemble, just don't breathe heavily near it, and you should be fine. The only positive part of the experience was connecting with Support to replace the flimsy-as-hell parts.EDIT: The original product is still flimsy, but as soon as I told ClosetMaid about the damage, they immediately sent out I replacement top and base as well as a pack of screws, nails, and wooden dowels at no charge. So while the product is flimsy and low-quality, their support is not.

JUNK...DO NOT BUY !!!
Bought two of these to organize closet. Thought because of the brand they would be of good quality, WRONG. One shelf split while hand inserting a dowel, had to glue it back together and touch it up with white paint. One was very rickety so had to use some screws to make it more stable. Biggest rip off was that the backside was a piece of folded up cardboard!Buy something cheaper, it has to be better than these pieces of junk.Normally I would have returned these, but they came in big boxes that were stapled. After opening the box, the end was trashed. Also they were too heavy to haul back to USPO.Amazon should not let vendors sell junk like this on their website.

Good buy for the price, no doubt.
Closest I could find to what I was looking for and happy with it. Stacked 2 of them to go from floor to ceiling. If you don't put on the back panel it is not that sturdy.Tip:- Put wood glue in the holes before inserting the dowel pins. It will make it a little more sturdy.- If you have a hard wood floor, i suggest getting felt pads for underneath.Things that could improve:- Thicker shelves- This thing comes dirty! As I took each piece out, I wiped them clean with a near-dry paper towel. There is wood dust and stryofoam bits all over them.- The back panel comes folded in 4 when its 3 cubes wide, yes its cardboard with a wood print on it. So what happens is you see the crease between the panels. They could have folded it into 3 and the creases would have been hidden behind the shelves walls. They have you put the little nails in around the perimeter of the back panel, and none in the middle to hold the ceases flat to the unit. Needless to say I used some of the nails in the middle instead of the edges.

Great Unit
Exactly what I was looking for. They assembled very easy. Took me less than an hour per unit assembling myself with frequent breaks. They are surprisingly sturdy and came with wall anchors. Arrived undamaged with all parts. Very happy with them! As far as how they will hold up, time will tell but I've assembled other particle board units that, by the time assembly was completed on a carpet, looked in rough shape around the edges. These seem to be well made.

Overpriced but it works
Quality is not fantastic, definitely just laminate on top of particle board. It seems a bit cheap and wobbly, so I wouldn't overload it. The Ikea version is a lot nicer, and this is very overpriced in comparison, but it's what was available and fits my space perfectly.

Make sure the coloured wood is on the same side.
It’s pretty sturdy, no damaged pieces. I use gorilla glue to renforce everything when I build things. Easy instructions I wish the nails for the back piece was bigger. I didn’t realize I put one of the middle pieces on the wrong side. I’d buy the 2X8 one over ikeas Kallax this is thicker than the Kallax.

Overpriced
Very badly packaged, a few pieces are damaged. Very difficult to assemble, pegs/pieces do not align well. Very disappointed. The only reason I won’t be returning it is because it’s mounted and I don’t want to bother taking it apart and repackaging it. It’ll last as long as it lasts. Save your money.
