I had two of these cages connected as one long enclosure but have since tried the cage connectors and I far prefer it if you have the ability. It allows me to most effectively use the black reusable cage liner on each side of the cage and I can now have a full kitchen side and a full play fleece side. It's very easy to put together, stays in place well, and comes with little doors to place in the connector if you need to close off one side of the cage for cleaning, etc. Love this company love the designs, highly recommend.

I got my first GuineaLoft cage several months ago and then got the connector and a second cage. I feel so much better knowing my two pigs have twice as much space. Having the connector, which easily detaches from the cages when needed, means that I still have the ease of cleaning each cage--which for me was the best feature of Ginea Loft in the first place.All the pieces were included in mine. For those who have questions, I would recommend contacting the creators at guinealoft at gmail. They are very responsive. I asked a bunch of questions before buying my first cage from them.

We love the connector tunnels, as they really do introduce more social dynamics and more activity. Unfortunately, we did not receive the exact same product shown here. Both connectors that we purchased had brackets that required nuts -- protrusions in the tunnel -- which in turn required pliers to hold on place while putting in the screws. The panels had smaller holes which did accommodate the newer brackets on our rev 4 cage. The brackets can still be used, but they are not flush. The doors slide up instead of to the side. They slide so easily, that we are using painters tape to keep them in place for now. There needs to be a locking pin of some sort and there are no pre drilled holes to accommodate a locking pin. So, the connector is an elegant solution to play time together but I wish we received the latest revision as shown in the photos.

Love the cage connector! Gives my boys double the space, which was very much needed as they are not the best of friends. I have another one coming so they don’t argue over who gets to use the tunnel! Easy to clean when I clean the cage. The tunnel actually makes cage cleaning easier since I just block it off with the old large panel that used to be there, then I can take the tunnel out and wash. I no longer need a playpen when cleaning because I just do one cage at a time.

So i got totally ripped off. What i see in the pictures and video is totally different. I opened the box and noticed that the parts didn’t look like anything in the pictures or videos. Then i try to put it together well guess what the corner hinges dont connect because the holes for the screws are too far apart. So i ended up with a pile of junk.

Hi, I’m a guinea pig owner of 2 that have used the midwest cage for about 3 years since having our guinea pigs. They loved it so much, as they got older and bigger they seemed to get into fights and we have had to temporarily separate them until we can find a bigger cage. This is indeed the solution. The question I have is does this product come just as connectors? Meaning do I have to purchase 2 cages AND the connectors to create this in our home? Please let me know as this would be a make or break deal to finding cheaper alternatives. Although I really want this and think there is NOTHING else like it!

The media could not be loaded.  I absolutely love my two Guinea Loft cages, but I did get two separate enclosures with the idea that I’d be able to separate my piggies in one or the other when needed (to clean one cage at a time, if they are fighting, etc…) but it turns out that’s not a possibility with the little doors that come with this connector. The little doors stay in place for about 2 seconds, as you can see in the video. Both of my piggies easily lifted the doors and continued running about both cages totally unfazed. On a side note, assembling the connector was also harder than I thought because the video instructions weren’t very helpful and the panels in the instruction video didn’t look like the ones I was sent. In the end, I got it put together, and the cages are well connected and the piggies love it, but it just doesn’t work to separate anything when needed.
