I've now reviewed several mystery pixel coloring books by this publisher, and I absolutely adore the concept. Each book has been themed so far, and this book is all about landscapes, from mountains to the seaside to verdant valleys and so much more. Each image is a gigantic rectangle with lots of tiny boxes with letters inside them. Every letter corresponds to a color on the opposite page. Simply grab your sharp colored pencils or fine-point pens, and get coloring! While most images have a few blank squares representing the color white, hinting at what the final image will be, you won't really know what each page is until you fill in enough. Discovery is part of the fun! Most images have 15 to 20 colors, though a few have much less. With so many colors, you will create some nuanced images, though still pixelated since you're coloring teeny boxes. If you've never tried a pixel color-by-numbers coloring book but it sounds intriguing, pick up this lovely book and try it.I received a free digital copy of this coloring book, but that did not affect my review.
