Full disclosure: I live in a major city and don’t own a car. However, one year I was traveling to Europe and had plans to rent a car for one day. I needed something that was temporary, sturdy and travel-friendly that wouldn’t take up much room in my luggage. Online searches pointed to A/C vent clip phone holders as the best option. It ended up being a major fail given the air vent fins on European cars were longer than those on American cars, rendering the clip was useless. As a result, I had to hold my phone in my hand while I drove (a manual transmission at that), and I had to keep glancing down to look at the directions. At one point I dropped my phone and had to stop the car in order to look for it. Definitely not safe.One year later I had plans to return to Europe, this time with a rental car for one week. It was imperative that I have a TRULY dependable cell phone holder as I would be driving more than four hours. Most importantly, it HAD to be temporary and not leave any residue or damage when I returned the car. Before I left for my trip, I rode with a car share driver who had this model cell phone mount. When I asked for his honest review, he gave it the highest praise and told me how to find it on Amazon.After landing in Europe for my trip, I went straight to the rental car counter and picked up my car. Before I left the parking lot, I followed the instructions for the car mount exactly as written. First I wiped down the dashboard with an alcohol wipe, waited for it to dry, attached the suction cup to my desired location, held it down for five seconds, then sat in the car for 25 minutes (5 minutes more than recommended) to ensure it had adequate time to stick. The instructions didn’t specify this, but I decided to remove the arm prior to this process just in case the added weight affected how well it initially stuck. When my 25 minutes were up, I attached the arm, then fitted my cell phone before hitting the road.This truly is a great product. I loved that I could keep my phone upright or turn it on its side for a horizontal view, which was how I used it the first time. I was worried it would pop off the dashboard, but it held as solid as a barnacle on a rock in rough water. There were moments when my phone and the holder shook vigorously, but still it didn’t move an inch. When I needed to charge my phone, it was easy to plug in my cable through the opening in the bracket. I had to leave my rental car parked in the hot sun for three days and opted to leave the cell phone holder right where it was on the dashboard. I was prepared to return to the car to find it had dislodged due to the heat, but it was still very much attached, despite the heat. In no way was its efficacy affected, and it performed quite dependably for the remainder of my rental period. When it was time to return the car, I worried about how easy it would be to remove. Upon drop-off, it took less than two seconds to easily pull it off the dashboard. Most importantly, there was no damage or leftover residue. Outside of the dust ring, the dashboard looked just like it did when I picked up the car.All-in-all, I might have used it for only one week, but I walked away thinking this was an incredible product. Installation was easy, it was tremendously sturdy, and most importantly, it removed easily with no damage. I doubt most people do this, but every time I exited the car I opted to remove the arm, leaving only the base.My only real complaint about this product is that it only works if the dashboard is flat. Fortunately my weekly rental had one that fit the bill, which is why the holder’s performance was so high. However, I traveled to a different region during that same trip and had to rent a different car for the day. That car had a dashboard that was curved, which meant I couldn’t use this product. If you’re traveling and need a cell phone mount, this could be a great option - if your dashboard is flat. Which is fine if you’ve done your research and are confident you’ll receive the actual car you reserved. It’s a bit of a gamble and you’re kind of screwed if it turns out you can’t use it. So while I love this cell phone mount and would recommend it to travelers with plans to rent a car, it’s only ideal for flat dashboards.

Phones are very distracting when driving; I avoid so many accidents from people who are holding /texting etc on their phones. Please people get a phone holder and pay attention to driving! Get a headset too!! This item is a must! It works great. Install it in the best area for your personal safety. The adjustments on it are great. It can be adjusted to just about any position to where you can see your phone without having to grab the phone.

I have bought cheaper versions of this product and this is the only one that stuck, pun intended. It did take a few tries to position it correctly, you have to make SURE it's on a perfectly flat surface, no curves or slopes allowed. Once I got the position right though, this hasn't moved. I love the quick-release tabs on the side and how it can adjust to fit my smaller iPhone and my friends' larger phones. Also, it has enough room at the bottom of the holder that you can plug in and charge your phone, a nice detail. I'd buy again!

Die HTU Auto SmartphoneHalterung wurde wie gewohnt schnelldurch Amazon geliefert.Im Lieferungumfang enthalten waren, die eigentliche Smartphone Halterung,der Teleskopständer (so nenne ich ihn einfach mal), eine Halterung fürs Gebläse im Auto,ein Kabel Clip und eine Bedienungsanleitung in Englisch, die leider kein Deutsch unterstützt.Die Anleitung an sich ist aber selbsterklärend.So, das Zusammensetzen hat super gut geklappt.Ich hab mir die Halterung aber nicht fürs Auto geholt, sondern ich hab sie zweckentfremdet.Da ich gerne Kreativ tätig bin und mich das ziemlich genervt hat,wenn ich mir malAnregung bei YouTube z.B. holen wollte und dadurch immer meine Arbeit unterbrochen habe, weil ich das Smartphone zur Hand nehmen musste.Genau deswegen bin auf die Idee mit der Halterung gekommen. Und Leute was soll ich sagen, ich bin echt super begeistert.Das Teil saugt sich mega am Tisch fest und sitzt Bomben fest.Nichts wackelt.Das Smartphone liegt gut in der Halterung.Durch den Teleskopständer ist das ausrichten auch kein Problem.Toll finde ich auch, wenn man die Halterung fürs Auto nutzt, den Kabel Clip der im Lieferung enthalten ist.Das ablösen ist etwas trikki, weil sich das Teil echt gut festsaugt.Mein Fazit:Die Halterung bekommt von mir 5 von 5 Sternen undes gibt von mir für den Preis von knapp 23€ein klare Kaufempfehlung !!!

Ich habe diese Handy-Halterung für mein Auto bestellt. Da meine Lüftung gebogen ist und mein Armaturenbrett aus Stoff ist, musste ich die Halterung an der Scheibe anbringen.In dem Set sind zusätzlich ein Reinigungs- und ein Trockentuch dabei, damit man alles zuvor reinigen kann. Die Halterung wird in vier Einzelteilen geliefert, die selbstständig zusammengebaut werden müssen.Die Anleitung ist sehr aussagekräftig, die Umsetzung aber eher schwer. Zwei der Teile wollten sich einfach nicht verbinden lassen. Nach echt langem herumdrehen, ging es irgendwann dann endlich.Bisher hat die Halterung super an der Scheibe gehalten. Sie sieht super aus, das Handy steht fest darin und das Einstecken und Herausnehmen geht sehr einfach.

...aber nur auf dem richtigen Kunststoff.Auf dem, aus dem mein Armaturenbrett hauptsächlich ist, hält es nicht.Zum Glück habe ich noch ein Stück anderen gefunden - da hält es sehr gut.Nicht ganz so gut gefällt mir der Handyschale als solches - sie wirkt irgendwie unförmig und grob.Die Halterung für Lamellen ist für mich uninteressant - das hält, aber meine Lamellen werden durch das Gewicht nach unten gestellt.Ich vermute auch mal, dass man regelmäßig festschrauben muss, weil sich die kleine Stellschraube sicher im Lauf der Zeit lockert.

Wer sein Smartphone als Navi-Ersatz im Auto einsetzt, benötigt eine entsprechende Halterung. Meine letzte hatte leider ihre Haftung aufgegeben, sprich: Sie ließ sich nicht mehr an der Frontscheibe befestigen. Überdies war dies sowieso immer ein ziemlich aufwendiges Verfahren. Und im Sommer bei starker Sonneneinstrahlung konnte es schon mal passieren, dass sie einfach abfiel. Daher kam mir die Alternative gerade rechtzeitig ins Auto geflattert. Für einen ausgenommen fairen Preis erhält man hier eine universale, für wohl alle Smartphones geeignete Halterungen.Der Zusammenbau der zwei Einzelteile gestaltet sich simpel und selbsterklärend. Die eigentliche Handyhalterung, die mittels zweier durch eine straff gespannte Feder verbundener Winkel funktioniert, wird auf ein drehbares Kugelgelenk geklipst und mit einer Überwurfmutter fixiert. So kann das Smartphone hernach in der Halterung in jede denkbare Richtung gedreht werden.Innen ist die Halterung mit geriffeltem Gummi ausgekleidet. Sie spannt das Handy wirklich straff und fest zwischen ihren Backen ein. Einzig wenn das gute Stück in eine etwas dickere Schutzhülle gepackt wurde, sitzt es nicht mehr ganz so fest und sicher wie ohne (aber immer noch so, dass es nicht bei unebenen Straßen herausfällt). Ich empfehle trotzdem, die Handyhülle vor dem Einsetzen in die Halterung abzunehmen.Das Anbringen an der Autoscheibe funktioniert im Gegensatz zu meinem Vorgängermodell sehr simpel und einfach. Den Saugnapf leicht vorbefeuchten und an die Scheibe pressen. Danach hält dieser bombenfest. Sogar so gut, dass ein Lösen derselben fast nicht mehr möglich ist.Fazit: Preislich überraschend günstig, aber trotzdem sehr solide, erhält man hier eine einfach zu montierende und sehr gut das Smartphone fixierende KFZ-Windschutzscheibenhalterung.
