Excellent Guidance for Moderated Yoga
This is such a great book for those of us that want to experience the benefits of yoga, but have physical limitations. This is the first book on yoga I have read that explains the 8 limbs of yoga, the different types of yoga, and the history of yoga in detail. Easy to understand Q&A, and a section on Yoga vs exercise. The visual aids - drawings and demonstrations of the exercises - is extremely helpful. Step by step instructions and full programs for yoga sessions, and includes breathing techniques. My favorite portion was the chapters for specific routines for specific issues - for example, yoga routine with all the appropriate yoga poses those suffer from migraines and neck pain. I will use this book daily! Highly recommend!

Easy and effective!
I'm an older mom and could not keep up with my son after a c-section and covid. I was out of shape. As a stay-at-home mom I needed something that I could do easily for exercise without equipment my son could accidently injure himself on. Chair yoga is the best because you can do it in any weather and don't need a ton of space. The instructions were easy to follow and I found results were more than I exceptional. I had been familiar with yoga before but not chair yoga! Now I can exercise with grandma and it's a bonding experience for us both !

Chair yoga for seniors
I have been taking calcium for my bones but want to do yoga for balance and flexibility. This book lists the different types of yoga and the breathing techniques to help you with yoga and stress. I like that this book has easy warm up exercises and specific exercises for your back, joints, etc. I also love the easy explanations and illustrations of doing the yoga exercises. I have gotten other books on yoga but this one just seems better on the illustrations. Glad I found this book.

Must Read!!
I really liked this book because the author understands that “not everyone is capable of downward dogging.” Finally, someone who understands! I am not over 65; however, I have multiple chronic conditions that prevent me from doing regular yoga, so this book was great! Each move is thoroughly described and has simple illustrations to follow along. The Back Pain Relief sequence was most helpful to me as I have chronic back pain. Always remember to start an exercise program slowly!

You need yoga AT ANY AGE!
While this book is aimed at seniors, this is also a great book for those with chronic conditions or general mobility limitations.Yoga is generally an accessible practice for folks and this is another great book that aims at this particular goal.As we age, our bodies often are not as strong or as mobile as one would like but the benefit of this book is to go ahead and reclaim some of that back...Or if you're a spoonie this can be great guide for some exercise in a way that works with your spoons, not against them.

Yoga is for Everyone!
I have practiced yoga off and on for several years, but I felt like it wasn't going to work due to my being diagnosed with spinal arthritis. The irony is that movement is good for my condition, but the movement is also difficult to achieve. This book made me feel that yoga is not just for me but for everyone. I enjoyed the first chapter of the book which tells the story of how yoga came to the Western world; I had no idea yoga was so old! I can't wait to get to work on my new Warrior Pose.

My Flexibility is Increasing
I have been following the book for a few weeks now and I find my flexibility is improving - I'm super happy about that because I think that's essential as you age. The book has very clear diagrams and instructions, so I feel that I can follow properly and do the exercise correctly. Good book - Take a look at it!

JUST A WONDERFUL WAY TO FEEL BETTER
I NEVER REALLY KNEW WHAT YOGA WAS ALL ABOUT. THIS BOOK EXPLAINED IT AND SHOWED HOW TO USE IT FOR SENIORS. AS IT SAYS, MOST EVERYTHING IS DONE SITTING DOWN.I LEARNED TO BREATHE DEEPER, RELAX, AND EXERCISE. SOME OF THE POSES WERE FAMILIAR, BUT MOST WERE NEW TO ME. THESE ARE NON-IMPACT EXERCISES, THEY ARE STRETCHING POSES THAT WORK. ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I DID WAS TO ALLEVIATE SOME SORENESS IN MY NECK.I WAS SENT AN EVALUATION COPY OF THIS BOOK AND HAVE SINCE DONE ROUTINESEVERY OTHER DAY.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
