I used a thin, dry paint brush and it worked out great!

So easy to use, just adds so much to the cake.

The gold flakes in this product are exactly as described: they are small, thin flakes of gold. However, because they are compressed into such a small bottle, they have stuck together and are difficult to separate. I was able to take pieces of the flakes and apply them to a cake for decoration, but it was difficult and time-consuming.These flakes are best for small gold applications, such as cake toppers or cupcakes. They are not suitable for larger areas, as they will be difficult to apply evenly. The gold dust is also included in the package, and it is a darker gold color than the flakes. This is something to be aware of if you are planning to use both the flakes and dust on the same cake, as the colors will not match.I did not test to see if this product is real gold, but it behaves in the same way as gold leaf that I have used in the past.Overall, I think these edible gold flakes and dust are a good option for small gold applications. However, they are not suitable for larger areas, and the colors do not match perfectly.

The gold foil is great. The gold dust turns green even in water. Would not recommend the gold dust.

I would have given a 5 starts but it was extremely difficult to get the leafs out with all of them coming out. It comes with gold luster dust also which I didn't know and will be using soon. The gold leafs were vibrant and the quality is good looked really nice on the cake. It was easy to use with the help of your other hand or else you'll use all the leafs. I bake regularly so I use this constantly

My first time using gold leaf, and I am so happy with the results. Definitely can't wait to use it again.
