I have not read all of the reviews as there are hundreds, but most seem to be for the larger version, which almost turned me off at first as some of the reviews indicated it was as large as a normal carry on and would not fit under a seat. I purchased the 17-20L and it is the perfect size as an under-seat backpack. I like it because you can still pack it like you would a normal carry-on, holds its shape, has well thought out organization pockets, and again, will fit under a normal airline seat without an issue. I can go away for a long weekend easily with this bag, and for longer trips it is a good supplement to the hard-shell carry on I generally use.

I got this backpack for an upcoming international trip. It's a very small bag, but it has several organizing pockets. I especially needed the dedicated laptop pocket. I recommend this bag if you need a small travel backpack!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I LOVE this bag enough that I wanted to let other people know. PROS: It's VERY well-made and has a no-nonsense rectangular shape. It can expand to 20L but collapse (with side straps) to 17L so its small enough to tuck under my seat on the plane. Love the fact that it has a TOP handle, a SIDE handle as well as shoulder straps. It also has an elastic strap you can put over the handle on your roller bag OR use to keep your shoulder straps from flopping around. It also has a chest strap to keep the bag from slipping off your shoulders. It also has a MAIN compartment that opens wide to fit in a couple of days worth of clothes or a bunch of books, as well as a back laptop compartment. In other words, this is such a well-made, feature-rich bag! CONS? I can't really think of anything I DON'T like about it. Highest recommendation!

Overall the bag is nice. It's on the small side but good for what I needed. Something to carry my laptop, keyboard, electronics to/from work on my office weeks. The look is clean but it is ruined by side straps and a pointless chest strap. For me, a bigger guy, the chest strap (if I lock it) looks more like a neck choker. the side straps dangle at the sides when unhooked and since it has a zipper for expandability, they really are pointless. These (chest and side straps) should be optional or removable. I hate having to cut things off but I'm forced to do that. Overall the bag gets the job done, looks good, and seems a decent quality for the price.

Very well designed with great features. Just the right size for day pack and fits under airplane (not expanded). Love the expandability feature and strap to secure it on handle of rolling suitcase.Also seems very well made. Sturdy fabric and zippers. Well finished. Durability TBD, but no problems on first 6-week trip on planes, in hotels, subways, and day trips.

The material is good and the bag is very well made. It gets low marks because the shoulder straps are not stow-able. A bag this size needs to be able to stow the backpack straps so they are not flopping all over the place. Since I will rarely if ever use the bag as a backpack, I performed surgery and cut the straps off. A removable messenger-bag like shoulder strap would also be a good addition.
