I use it to transport my Allan 8.25 inch by 5.5 Bible with references. I recommend buying the Bible first. It is a perfect fit.

Ah yes, the controversial "Divine Comedy". Dante savagely attacked himself, his critics and other religions in his masterpiece, which makes this trilogy both sublime and disingenuous. Even though his poetic verse is near-flawless and one of the highest standards in poetry, arguing about religion leaves only bitterness.Dante spends a lot of time in this book preaching. Then again, so does the Bible, and since this is fanfiction of the Bible...The greatest irony of all is Dante's portrayal of the Holy Trinity as 3 circles. He portrayed God using geometry! Thus Dante is exposed as a lover of science, and all that stuff he said about Hell, Earth, Purgatory and Heaven are coloured by his bias. He would have been happier as a mathematician.

This is a very good book. Very insightful.

Beautiful book. Translation is tough to read because of 19th century language of Whitman, but it fits the poem well. I read a summary of each Canto before reading the text that explains some of the references which helps tremendously.

I am very excited to begin reading this magnificent poetry!By inspecting the physical features of this book, I am amazed on how well the shipping and handling is! The book feels and looks new, unharmed, and no pages are creased. I ordered a paperback.....PAPERBACK! Still, the book arrived with no damage or any sign of poor handling and shipping.I will definitely order more books when I finish this first.
