Fabulous Barlow Lens
The pictures are of Saturn and Jupiter in the night sky with Orion StarBlast 2 4.5 EQ.with a 10mm lens on top of the Starboosa 5x Barlow lens. Remember Saturn is some 900+ million miles away.As the first actual review of this Barlow lens by Starboosa. I would like to add that it feels really well made, came well packaged, and performs very nice. I have a 2x 3x and now 5x and you can see the difference. Letting me know this Barlow lens really works and is not a fake or misleading product given the great price. It works very well and will buy more from this seller again soon. Fabulous Barlow Lens for a great price.

Loving the night sky now more than ever
Seeing things I've never seen before in the sky, with the right lens crystal clear moon surface, and lovely colors of Jupiter and Saturn.

Surprisingly Good
I would not have expected an inexpensive Barlow to give good results, but this one does. Does the job and does it well.

Seems well made
Haven't used it yet, but it seems well enough made. It's not one of those silly plastic ones. My biggest complaint is that it is labeled 5x Barlow lens. I almost freaked out when I saw that, as I ordered the 2x selection, considering I already have a 5x and learned the hard way that a 5x is too powerful for my telescope. (I openly admit I am a total noob at this, but I do love astronomy regardless)It wasn't until I revisited the product page here on Amazon, and saw in the description it says that despite being labeled 5x, it's actually a 2x Barlow lens. With that, I calmed down a little. I can handle that. Figuring out a way to relabel it should not be hard at all. Anyway, that little labeling snafu lost this product one star in the review. I will follow up on this review after use.

Absolutely Not 5X
Honestly my 2x is probably better than this. Quality and structure is great but it's definitely not 5X

Works
Does its job I guess. Value for the money. Moon filter is pointless though ..

Nice Barlow Lens. Double your eyepiece collection with one piece of equipment.
Review of Starboosa 1.25" Barlow Lens - for Telescope Eyepieces - Actual 2X MagnificationI’ve just gotten back into astronomy. I am a casual observer. Most of my accessories I’ve temporarily misplaced during a move so I needed replacements. This accessory takes your eyepiece and telescope magnification and doubles it. Here’s basically what you do, take a fast eyepiece, like a 40mm or 25 mm and use that first. That helps you find the object you want to view. I used a 40mm with my 400mm scope tonight to look at the moon and Jupiter. Got them in the center of the scope, then you put in the Barlow and use the same eyepiece to double the magnification. After that you can switch to a stronger magnification eyepiece to see a bit more magnified. You will need to focus after changing eyepieces and after adding the Barlow. It feels like a durable, high quality item with metal barrel body and good optics. Owning a Barlow in effect doubles your collection of eyepieces by allowing for 2x magnification through each one. There is some loss of brightness because of how it works. A Barlow lens moves the focal point, so it basically takes the same amount of light and widens the image, which is why it is less bright. This Barlow is as good as any I’ve used. Checking out Jupiter through it gave a nice clear image. The Barlow has a threaded end to take a T adapter to allow doubling of magnification for my camera. A Barlow lens can also in effect extend the focuser back travel for astro photography.Nice item. I like it!

Does not work with reflecting telescopes.
This is a budget Barlow lens, works with my refractor but cannot reach focus with my Newtonian. As others have said, not multicoated.Pros: solid construction, thread for T ring.Cons: won't work with reflecting telescopes. No coatings.

No one noticed that this barlow barely has a 2x magnification?!!!!!
No one noticed that this Barlow barely has a 2x magnification?!!!!!I have a 2x Barlow lens and it does more than this one. I even tried to stack them but then the picture quality have been decreased quiet a lot. I would not recommend to buy it. I had to give one star because it's needed to submit the review. I am sending the item back.

Cheap in price, cheap on quality
Offered no greater magnification than my 2x Barlow, the lens does not seem to be coated at all. Did not work with my reflector telescope and unable to focus sharply and did not fit my M42 camera adapter. Item returned.
