6 Russian CUT Crystal Cognac Snifters 200ml/7oz Hand Made

I was so disappointed that these gorgeous crystal snifter glasses arrived with two broken. Returned and received a prompt refund.

I was prepared to be bored with yet another purchase by my husband, who seems to be going through a phase of collecting special glasses for special liquors. “It adds class,” he says. “They all drink cognac in the movies,” he says. (Eye roll) Anyway, I opened the box to wash them by hand before use, and to my total delight, when I rinsed the first one under running water, a sweet melodic ring echoed when I stroked the wet edge with my wet fingers. The crystal! I went round and round that glass till I produced a clear, beautiful sound, then I proceeded to do the same with each of the 6 in the set. I was pleasantly surprised to find that each glass sounded a little different, a testament to the glass house. These are such nice quality, and though I do not drink, my husband has enjoyed them. I, however, look forward to each time I get to wash them gently by hand so I can hear that characteristic clear, beautiful sound that only crystal can make. Wow. LOVE them!

Can't argue with the price and yes they are attractive, But 'Hand Made'? The glass itself including the fancy pattern is pressed glass, only the simple checker board pattern was cut by hand.I bought the first six maybe 5 or 6 years ago, used them every day. But they do break, it's not a 'life time heirloom'. Down to the last one, therefore bought six more.
