NON UK PLUG ON POE POWER CABLE
Very easy setup and install. It took more time to find and then rewire a plug than to complete the setup and install.Others had commented that it did have a UK plug... perhaps luck of the drawer.

Excellent Signal, Easy to Use
The company I work for uses Unifi APs for their offices so when my home router died I decided to give one of these a try, and I can definitely see why they switched all their offices to Unifi. I installed the controller software on my desktop and had everything up and running in under 30 minutes, and it's been over two years now and it still is running strong without me ever needing to check on it or reset it.I was a little worried about the coverage I would get with the Lite but it covers my entire two bedroom apartment and even reaches out into the parking lot so I can still use my WiFi from my car all on 1 AP. It does come with a PoE injector to provide power to it but I also bought their 8 Port PoE Switch so I can easily add more APs in the future if I need to.It does come with a mounting plate that you can screw into the wall or ceiling to hang it, but I didn't want to damage my apartment so I just put some double sided mounting tape on the AP's mount plate and stuck it to the wall and it's held fine.

Easy to set up and works as it should
Easy to set up via the Ubiquiti UniFi app - haven't yet installed their controller software on my computer for even more tweaking possibilities. The smartphone app automatically discovered the access point (AP) on the network as soon as it was powered up and allows setting the basics needed to get started - SSID, password, etc. It also monitors connected devices showing signal strength, uptime, IP, transfers since connection, as well as the option to block unwanted devices.Wandering with my device around the house and property, the app showed when the connection switched between 5G and 2G, which was handled seamlessly by the AP. As you may know, 5G is faster but with shorter range and more easily blocked by obstacles, such as walls. You will want to experiment with positioning the AP (which way it's facing), as well as location, to optimize coverage. The AP requires PoE to operate and the single unit package includes a PoE injector that is powered from a wall outlet. Note that to use the injector, you will need two ethernet cables. One from your switch/router/modem to the injector and one from the injector to the AP.The AP I purchased from Prime Electronics and fulfilled by Amazon was fresh stock, a few months old. The box indicates it's now compatible with PoE standard 802.3af/A, as well as the older 24V variant, which Ubiquiti had originally adopted years ago. This means the AP will work with all UniFi PoE switches (apparently it didn't previously work with the less expensive 60W model). I mention this because there could be some confusion if one reads older reviews that discuss device incompatibility. According to Ubiquiti's website this hardware revision to the AP became effective in September 2016.Is this AP better than something half or quarter the price from the well known and not so well known consumer lines? Time will tell. It's likely a greater factor if it's integrated into a larger UniFi system. IMO a significant plus point is the UniFi system's excellent software. Set-up was a breeze and system management is straightforward with the potential for much more granular control through their dedicated controller program.
