POWER Programmable DC Power Supply Variable, 30V 10A Adjustable Regulated Lab Bench Power Supply
My son likes to fiddle with stuff and recently has gotten into building his own computers. So his room went from a normal bedroom to a workroom with a bed. Work benches and tables. I got him this without fully realizing what it was however it was met with some excitement as I guess he would have better control when testing components. He was frustrated at first but I put that down to a learning curve. Once he figured out how to use it, its been great. Fairly close on the voltage, maybe not close enough for some applications, but for what he's doing it works fine.the price was low enough at $117 to be able to get it and let him have fun.

If you're spending extra money for the ability to control via computer..... Don't.
The app isn't worth it. Now you can find an open source substitute, but you'll likely have to flash the firmware. Which at that rate you could just buy the hardware specified for whatever project you choose and get out at half the price. What I had wish I would have done, as that is essentially what this power supply is.Speaking of the app. If it complains about missing initialization blah blah blah and won't install. It's due to the chinese characters in the path. You have to move the 'volume' directory somewhere that doesn't have chinese characters in the path, or just rename the path. Another thing to be careful of is this thing starts up set at full bore 32v max amps. Ask me how I found out.

app is very, very tough to figure out. otherwise decent supply, not for super advanced/critical work
This power supply is nice overall, but it lacks computer control -- unless you speak Chinese. The display is crisp and colorful, a huge improvement over older monochrome LCDs. The power output is relatively clean, despite its lightweight construction. However, I had a difficult time connecting it to the computer app, just like another power supply I bought from a different vendor that is supposed to use the same app (not to mention security concerns). If you require computer control, this might not be the best choice for complex or sophisticated tasks. At $93, it's still a high-quality power supply at a fraction of the price of others, even without computer programmability. It doesn't offer GPIB or similar features, so computer control is really just a mediocre substitute for manual operation. If you're buying it as a regular variable supply, it's pretty good. Just be prepared for some headaches if you want to control it with a computer (i effectively gave up). Additionally, be cautious about leaving it connected when powering on, as it sometimes doesn't recall the correct state from before. Overall, I give it 4 stars due to its affordability.
