This portable door lock was the first I’ve seen that comes with 2 interchangeable plates. This allows it to fit into a lot of different types of doors such as the hotels with the big electronic locks and normal interior doors.This fit both the door to the room and the interior door that connected to another room at the STRAT in Las Vegas. I was able to bring it on a flight through TSA with no issue.Installing it takes a bit of opening and closing the door to ensure it’s put in correctly. I worried a bit that the noise might attract attention and someone would be able to come in since the door would be open during this time, especially late at night, but it doesn’t take long to install. Once installed, removing it is no hassle.The door lock feels decently sturdy enough to provide resistance, but ultimately if someone was truly trying to force their way in, I think it would give. Despite this, having this door lock made me feel more secure that someone looking for an easy target might get discouraged from the effort or someone desperately trying to get in would be delayed enough for me to react. Ultimately, I recommend this lock for any type of traveling and it would be a great gift for any loved ones.

Purchased this until the restroom for at work can be repaired and it's been a really handy tool. Easy to use and very strong.

Nice product but only for use on hotel doors. Won't fit apartment and house doors unless they are made like hotel doors.

I really like that this lock has 4 different options of strike plate inserts. I tried it in my doors at home and it blocked the door opening very well. I'm excited to use this in hotels for peace of mind.
