I raise monarchs and love the cages but keeping them on my patio had punctuated the bottom with tiny holes. Ants are a natural enemy of caterpillars. I had to tape the bottom up with packing tape to protect them and keep ants out. The mesh bottoms are stronger. Love the drawbridge but please fix the bottom plastic. Mine were new when they were punctured. Not old.

Works well for the grandkids as they collect Caterpillers and watch the process. Nice to put a couple jars with host plants in for the critters. Holding up well so far, after a month of constant use. An excellant summer investment!

I love this product, and have purchased two sizes for use. So easy to set up and use, and it folds down flat for easy storage (after sanitizing between broods of course). A plus!

So, I was fooled. It looked like the floral tubes and rack were included, and the description alluded to the tubes and rack too. Big surprise, no tubes, no rack. I can now see the clever writing that makes it seem like they are included. Learn from my mistake. This was way overpriced for something that did not include what was pictured.

Lots of fun! GREAT bargain. Zip it up so nothing escapes. To go with this, consider the silicone ‘poo poo’ platter which greatly simplifies normal maintenance during “the season”.

My wife bought a few of these to show her class that caterpillars turn to butterflies. This cage provides a good environment to place a plant for caterpillars to eat. Some caterpillars used the mesh to hold their cocoon. The plastic is great to see everything, the mesh is more difficult. The caterpillars make a lot of mess and the cage cleans easily.
