Staedtler 1.3 mm HB Leads for Mars Micro Mechanical Pencil (Pack of 6)

I like to take a pencil and pad out with me and sketch areas that grab my eye. I could just take a camera but I find by drawing the scene I notice more details. The beauty of a propelling pencil is that your not constantly having to keep sharpening the nib and a 2B 0.5mm allows some fine details to be drawn. I don't profess to be nowhere near a professional artist but it's an art I like to partake in and these leads' fulfill my needs with an excellent quality and service provider.

This item seems good. Found it annoying to open as it was completely covered in some kind of annoying sticky tape which I couldn't get off for ages to even open the lid. It tore the labelling at the front a little and completely removed the labelling at the back. The lead does seem strong and writes quite softly which is what I prefer. Sometimes when I'm writing or journalling I prefer to use a soft pencil which is why I ordered this lead to go in a mechanical pencil as they last much longer than standard pencils and don't break very easily at all. It also saves the messiness of pencil sharpening!! I recieved 13 pieces of lead in this pack and they all came complete with no breakages which I was pleased about. I had a pack of the Papermate triangular mechanical pencils; however they did not come with any lead refills. After extensive searching, I found these. They are the right size for the Papermates. However I do feel the product is highly overpriced for what it is. For lack of choice, this is an adequate product, however in future, I shall probably ask any friends/family who are travelling from abroad to bring over a few packs of 1.3mm leads which are certainly available at much cheaper rates in the USA or the East.

These leads are fine they work in the mechanical pencils I wanted them forQuite a nice little container easy to keep and keep things tidy

The refill came quickly, non of the leads were broken there were 6 in there and they fit perfectly in the mechanical pencils for my kids. Nice and thick leads.
