We just finished the drive from Seattle to San Diego and I loved having this book as a reference! It cut down on the “what should we do today” so much!! Such fun places and restaurants to stop at! My favorite pages were the ones at the end to log each days adventures.

This book is laughable. When you open it, it scream 'I am cheap' at you. Poor paper quality, not a single photo. All Black-and-White. Each of the 202 attractions gets 1 page, except the text really is only 1 short paragraph. There is practically no information given. E.g. on the "Redwood State and National Pars" (indicated it is off route): How far is it to get there? Which parks are worth visiting? How do I get there? Where are the entrances? Opening times? Accommodations? How long should I plan to stay? Nothing. Nada. Save your money and avoid this rip-off. It got three 5-start reviews with no words. Obviously another sham Amazon review.

I was hoping for a more detailed description of where to eat/stay, etc. but it does have some good information. Maps were really helpful
