After breaking two crystal butter dishes, I chose an unbreakable one. I really like the sturdiness of it. It snaps closed and opens easily and is attractive on the table.

Lid closes so well that it's a bit difficult to open. But it works VERY well.

This butter dish does the job fine. Its a little cheap looking and is slightly hard to open when you have arthritis, but it keeps the butter soft enough to cut and fresh.

This butter dish is very nice. It is hard plastic and has a click tight lid. It also has a tablespoon measurement built into the base of the dish so you don’t have to guess how many tablespoons you are using.

I'm the household that has to have multiple butter dishes because I always want a clean on on the counter with butter at room temperature. I resort to this one only in emergencies. It's hard to get open and it's just ugly. Looked pretty in the pictures. Like the color but don't like the butter dish. Cannot recommend.

It is nice and very inexpensive. But the butter dish is way to big. It will not fit in the compartment where the butter goes.

Just looking at it first-hand, I can tell you it is way larger than it needs to be. MY PROBLEM with this butter dish is the difficulty to get it open. The force required to open it is excessive and it requires a firm grip with both hands to pull back the plastic grips. If you like picking up your stick of butter off the floor, then this is for you. Otherwised, don't bother getting it unless you want to take up more landscape than necessary in your fridge and flavor your butter with the taste of whatever is on your floor!

My boy loves to eat butter and we needed something cat proof to keep him out. This does the job perfectly well as it latches shut. Easy to clean, doesn't break when knocked off counter, highly recommend even if its simply just for butter storage and not for keeping your feral butter boy out of it :)
