Works great to transform fabric
This paint saved a lot of money to find a new chair! Needed to keep these small size, comfortable chairs for basement remodeling, but the garish print needed to go. Put on one light coat of the chalk paint (wasn’t very well stirred up, but seemed to do fine) and instantly was transformed. The color was exactly as I had expected. I sprayed the chair with water first; the paint covered very well in one coat (as you can see in the photo, I purposely keep a little of the underlying print showing). Am planning to use a darker paste wax to buff in the finish, but it isn’t terribly stiff with just one coat. Have no idea what the durability will be, but if we can get a year out of these, I’ll be thrilled. Took less than an hour to do each chair and they dried well within 24 hours. Didn’t heatset with blow dryer or in sun. Will revise this review if something goes awry in the next six months, but this was a very satisfying craft project.

Beautiful
This product is amazing. My first time painting. My book case was initially black. I didn’t sand it, I only cleaned it first. I applied 2 coats of the teal paint with a small roller brush and voila! I realize now that I need to add the wax. By the way, the can does say base coat only, color not included but just open the can. The color you ordered is there.

Classic white! Beautiful!
I used this white colored chalk paint to paint over a 40 year old dark stained bookcase that was given to me and my husband when we moved in together. It covered the imperfections of that old wood beautifully without having to sand it. It took 2 coats and then I covered it with a clear coat sealer by minwax. I’m very pleased at the price per quart as compared to all the fancier chalk paints on the market today. It was nearly 1/2 the cost, but applied and covered the furniture just as nice, if not better!

Great paint for DIY project!
I have Never painted wood furniture before. After watching some YouTube videos, me and my 9 year old worked together in converting an old bed frame from oak wood color to white color in order to match the rest of her room’s furniture. We did slightly sand and prime the surface, but the instruction of the paint said it is not necessary. We still did it because it was a very old bed and had a lot of dents and holes. This paint is super easy to apply. We did two coats and the paint pretty much covered the dents on the old wood surface. We did apply the KILZ sealing wax afterwards which adds this sheen look that really makes the bed look new.We are very happy with this Kilz product line. With less that $40 worth of material (prime+paint+wax), we got a new bed! I would highly recommend this paint to DIYers.

Cameo Coral
First paint to arrive was the wrong color. Second paint was correct but the color is a little more cotton candy pink than coral in my opinion. Paint was well packaged and in good shape- didn’t need to be shaken. Painted a cabinet and wood chair. Still have plenty of paint leftover for another project. Overall happy, but with the color was a little warmer.

I had never used chalk paint before, so I watched videos and gave it the ol college try. It was WONDERFUL! I painted over varnished furniture and it went on amazingly. It covered perfectly and looks professional. It feels so soft. I thinned black paint with water and rubbed over sparingly. I can't believe the result. I then used Rust-Oleum matte clear chalked protective cover to seal (also from Amazon). You will not be disappointed with this paint. Tip: Turn the can upside down for 10 to 15 minutes, then shake well before opening, then stir well. Happy painting!

Need to add wax people!
Topped it off with leftover Anne Sloan white wax.Perfect color and I saved a ton going with this brand instead. Sounds like a lot of reviewers need to do some reasearch about chalk paint and wax. It’s an art. It’s a process. Took 2And 1/2 paint jobs to cover the dark wood with light paint. Because I’m pregnant my mom was kind enough to do this job for me. Took her about a day and a 1/2 to complete the whole job. Always stroke or foam roll light coverage with every application. The paint dries quickly in between coats. Then you apply the wax, let it set, then buff it out. The wax seals and protects the paint and wood.I recommend visiting a store that specializes in chalk paint or at least a Pinterest page to learn about special tools and techniques.

Easy To Use
This product is a reasonable price and easy to use. Most chalk paint is double the price. I didn't sand one piece and lightly sanded the other two. DON'T sand if you have old furniture. The pieces I sanded, a brownish color kept coming through. The finish is matte but you can put a glaze on which is super easy to apply and it will have whatever patina your glaze has.
