Wanted a blanket to use on those cold winter nights when I'm on the sofa with a good book, but one that would also look good thrown over the back when it's not in use. The soft muted tones of the MacKellar tartan look good against the soft grey of our sofa, and the blanket itself is lovely and warm. Quality is absolutely top notch, and the presentation (packaged beautifully for gifting) made even the simple process of opening the parcel a pleasure! Delivery was very quick too.Am completely delighted with this blanket and am more than happy to recommend Eagle and Fox to anyone looking for a tartan treasure of their own.

Quality blanket, however the colour is so far out that initially I honestly believed they had sent me the wrong blanket. The colour is way darker, much more of a dark brown and caramel colour. Very deceptive and I would be very wary of purchasing another because of the variance in colour, hence a 3 star and not a 5 star.

Great business model, recycled wool, banged out in appropriate tartans but with a sort of premium feel. It's warm, it's thick it's sizeable and I'm pleased with it for the price. Nicely presented too, except for the nauseating 'note from the family' which nearly meant the rug got ruined.

I loved this blanket, it was so soft and beautifully presented, and great value. However it turns out my husband really doesn't like wool blankets (who knew? Not me, apparently). I was hoping the non-scratchyness of this one would change his mind, but no joy. Had to return the blanket (very straightforward returns process) and got a boring fleece thing instead.

Sadly they didn't send what was ordered. The replacement wasn't correct either as it was a different colour to what was described, but I gave up then as I needed a rug. Good quality I just don't like the colour.

Really nice blanket. Good quality. It feels warm and cosy. It arrived in a pretty box and would make a lovely gift. It is a bit darker than I expected, but I am still really pleased with this purchase.

This is super quality - almost too good. It was a lot heavier than I was expecting. I wonder if a gentle wash might make it a bit softer too? I don't mind the smell at all and the colours were as expected. This is more of a blanket than a throw I would say - which is what it says in the title of course but I was expecting a lighter weight. Otherwise fine.

I have bought these blankets previous for sofa and beds they are of good quality and warm. The colours are accurate as described. They look to be hard wearing however not yet had the need to wash although it does say you can. personally I think good value.

This blanket is beautiful. The grey is quite a bit darker than the light grey in the photos I was hoping for, but I still love it. From the packaging to the classic plaid, not to mention it's WARM!! I picked it up at the post office yesterday morning, the first snow in Boston of the season, and immediately came home and put it on my bed. I was toasty warm sleeping last night and the plaid turned down at the top was so handsome against the white duvet and shams. I can't wait to order a few more, not only to gift, but to have a stack of plaid rustic blankets in a basket waiting to be used around my apartment. High quality! Great customer service when I couldn't locate the delivery and a beautiful product!! :)

Beware that however much you save on the online price will be made up in the taxes you pay. I had a very rude surprise at the FedEx counter when they rang me up the same amount in taxes that I paid for the blanket itself. I would recommend finding a throw that is shipped via Amazon rather than an independent seller so you don't feel cheated. I wanted to return the blanket, but since return post is not covered and I already paid an equivalent of a second blanket in taxes, it's a lose lose situation. Also, the blanket was smelly. I have a feeling it has been sitting at the bottom of a pile of blankets in some corner of a dusty warehouse for a long long time, maybe it had some rodent visitors? Who knows. It's on its second wash cycle because it smells that unpleasant. Will find similar product from a better seller next time.

J'ai commandé deux couvertures pour notre usage à la maison. Ils sont arrivés joliment emballés et j'en suis très content. La laine est dense et dégage une odeur de lain, mais elle n’est pas désagréable. Ils sont super chaud et confortable. La seule petite déception est que les couleurs sont un peu plus sourdes qu'elles ne sont apparues à l'écran, mais elles sont toujours ravissantes et je suis ravi de soutenir une entreprise familiale qui recycle la laine. Ils sont d'un bon prix et de bonne qualité. J'achèterais certainement encore.

This throw is MUCH darker than the picture shows so I am a little disappointed about that. It is very large and very well made. I keep my home very cold so my friends and family will love having this beautiful throw to keep them warm. I have two others from The Tartan Blanket Co. being delivered tomorrow. Beautiful additions to my collection and a nice touch to my Fall decor.

This is an absolutely beautiful throw. It is a high quality wool blanket that is great to wrap up in on a chilly night. The coloring of this one is a little deeper brown than the photos represent, but is lovely. It also arrived within 10 days, much faster than the estimated 4 weeks (as it comes straight from Scotland). I have another that I bought a year ago, and decided to order this one because everyone fights over it!! Just a great classic piece for the home.
