Heavy Duty but not impressed
This is a very well-built hole saw in that it is of a heavy gauge steel. The arbor that holds the saw is excellent. But the teeth of the hole saw is the weak part. There are only three supposedly carbide tips but they do not perform as one would expect. I tried using it on a plain 2 x 4 stud to make a hole for wires and it bit in for a 1/8 of an inch and stopped. I figured if I stayed with it for several minutes it may have done the job, but after one minute of working it at different angles, I gave up. I really wanted to like this tool but I was disappointed. I recommend skipping this purchase and looking for something else.

Works well
Good quality but could be sharper. Took a couple of minutes to punch through 3/4 inch plywood.

Worked well for dryer vent.
Worked really well for install of a 4" dryer vent. Went through both OSB and hardy board without issue. Not much tearout and the hole was large enough for some slight adjustments to vent placement. I would recommend for what I used it for.

Hole saw
I purchased this to cut holes for lock sets in doors and it does an awesome job. It’s a solid and well made tool. It’s also very sharp so I was able to cut through the door with ease to get it done quickly.

Cuts well.
This is a good hole saw. It cuts without burning or getting hot if you cut one hole. When I cut a piece of pine and a piece of mahogany there were no burn marks and the paint on the saw didn't change color. It has deep gullets that didn't have any clogging. I was a little skeptical since there are just 4 teeth, but it works really well. My bi-metal hole saws have lots of teeth and they run hotter. The cut is a bit rough, but after all, it's a saw, not a forstner bit. It actually made a fairly clean exit on the mahogany. It will clean up with a little sanding if you need a smooth hole.

Excellent!
This is a beautifully made and well designed hole saw that comes with a sturdy mandrel. I like that it has carbide teeth, unlike most hole saws. They will last much longer and will create some clearance between the wood and the body of the saw, thus reducing friction and heat buildup. The big side slots, to make plugs easier to pull, are also a good idea, and aren't seen on hole saws that have a continuous row of small steel teeth.
